I really love this tool for my dog's fur. I have a German Shepherd Dog with a double coat. I have tried many rakes and combs for her fur. One furminator's teeth are too narrow and sharp not to cut and damage her fur. One rake had wire prongs that weren't really effective even though recommended by German Shepherd reviewers. This furminator has little hooked teeth to grab the tender undercoat and remove loose fur. It has two different widths of teeth so you can use one for the first brushing to remove MOST of the loose undercoat and the more narrow teeth for a finer brushing. But neither damage the gorgeous coat. It leaves her fur absolutely beautiful and I haven't noticed her scratching as much. I have also used the more narrow teeth on my cats and it does a pretty nice job on their fur as well although their fur is more fine. So, and all-round GREAT product for my pets. I am sold!

This takes learning how best to use it. I am getting better at it with my labradoodle. I with I had one when my corgy beagle mix was alive with lots of undercoat fur.

I use it for mats in ears and on tail. I left my poodle’s tail long and it mats up easily. Wire combs just fell apart and pulled. This is much easier to work with getting mats out. Easier on hand. Much sturdier and can do small areas which is more comfortable for dog. It have a definite place in my dog grooming kit.

Fortunately this works fine with my Pyrenees who has a thick undercoat. My little Maltese a different matter. Its too big and way too harsh for her tangles. I couldn't put her through the torment since it really is a harsh rake for all intense and purposes.

This might work if there are a few tangles, but not for mats. My maltipoo has a lot of hair and my groomer retired. I thought I would try to do it until I found a new groomer. I thought it would cut through the mats, but it does not. It rips them out. It’s not sharp. There is no cutting with ease. Scissors worked better.

I've never used a dematting comb and thought I'd give it a try.It works and my poodles' fur stays a little longer dematted (they are all very active so not for too long).

Versand ging sehr schnell und das Produkt sah auch so aus wie auf den Bildern. Funktioniert aber leider nicht so wie angegeben. Ich bleibe ständig im Fell meines Hundes (Pudelmix) hängen und bekomme gar kein Filz heraus.
