Works awesome for my shibas and the thicker part of my goldens fur (she still has her puppy coat so her fur isnt as long and thick as it will be after fully matured, but I'm sure that this will he great for then too). Doesn't pull the fur but does grab and rake away the loose shredded fur. Grooming got done much quicker with this and my 3 girls look great! This and a slicker brush together make a great pair for dogs with thick double coats. It works best if you rake the opposite direction that the fur lays so that you can expose the undercoat more. This is great for long fur.

My daughters cat has thick thick hair and this cat helps cut down so much on the shedding! The second row on the comb really helps get it the hair stuck in the undercoat. Would recommend for any pet with thick hair.

My GSD has long hair. This brush works good on his coat and isn't harsh. It does a good job of getting the loose hair out. Some of the teeth aren't perfectly straight but it seems solid.

If your dog has long hair or an undercoat this is a must in your collection. Unlike other models that have blades that cut the hair this one only grabs loose hair. It easily gets to the skin to prevent mats that normal brushes miss.

We needed a new "rake" for our short-haired cat, Geordi. His fur is short but dense and many other brushes, combs and rakes didn't go through to remove loose hair very well, and some even seemed to hurt him a little no matter how gently I used them on his thick coat. This rake works very well. It seems to be pretty sturdy and should last many years. No idea how well it works on long-haired cats (or on dogs) or if fur is severely matted. Our other two cats are also short-haired and we'll try it out on them next. We should get a lot of use from this rake. Good product, highly recommended!

This brush/rake may not de-shed as aggressively as other products ... but it is much gentler on the dog. It will take a little longer ... but with a happier pup!

If you’ve never had Australian Shepherds, you have no idea how much hair they shed! Constantly. Year round! Just finished brushing two of our three. They were way overdue for brushing as somehow our last rake was lost in the barn so had to read reviews and finally chose this one. It’s the best we’ve ever had. Comfortable in hand, and the two-row rake makes it even more effective. I should have taken a pic of the huge pile of hair/undercoat that came out. Don’t hesitate choosing this one! They weren’t squirming and miserable during the brushing either. Effective on the few mats they had, too.

The brush was supposed to be used for Labrador however is very big and large for this breed. Also, tried it on husky and the same issue.Had to return it.
