I'm not sure it would hold a 250 pound animal, but I will admit that the clips impressed me. Not only do they screw over the clasp mechanism but even if you just clip it and don't screw it closed, it seems to screw itself over the opening clip by itself, which is very handy, will work for my purposes would recommend.

I would have thought that a rust proof metal would be used for an outdoor cable. For now the rust doesn't affect the strength or function. Just wonder if it someday might get bad enough that it will break, or not close properly.

I bought this for my very hyper dog. We recently moved and I now live on 1 acre of property. My house is also a county Road and unfortunately people drive way too fast. My dog has several times gotten out of the house and gone running down the middle of the road scaring me half to death thinking that he was going to get struck by a speeding vehicle. I decided to try a tie out. I have clicked him to the tie out and despite his pant for getting himself tangled, the tether works really well. I am able to have my pup outside with me and not be scared to death that he was going to get free from the yard and put himself and others in danger. The tether seems to be of really good quality material. I like that. It is covered in the PVC so that it does not scratch or get caught on things. I like the 360 base. Despite any of his tugging it has remained put in the ground. It is very secure. My pup is able to wander all around the property and he likes that too.

everything is very well made and super solid. you can spend almost as much at walmart for an inferior cable that doesn't have the spring to help prevent whip lash or the spinning hooks. i chose the 50ft for the yard and could not be happier with it. i recommend it and am considering a shorter one to take on trips this summer.

This so far has been the only tight out my 115 lbs puppy 🶠has not chewed through nor snapped. This is a very durable product and I love the color. I have bought both this lime green 💚 and an orange 🊠shorter one as well and they both are wonderful

Very strong yet lightweight cableClasps are very well made, and secure when the threaded lock collar is used, yet very easy to operate when unlockedIf a replacement is ever needed I would definitely buy again
