Purchased two. Bigger and better than I expected. I already had three other brands for my six cats. Theses are easier to clean because the pump and cord are removable.

I have a giant breed dog (145) lbs. when he gets a drink he can empty a bowl very fast. This is the best water bowl we have tried, and we have had a few. Pump works great, make sure filters are in the correct order, and now I only have to fill 2 times a week! Easy to set up and use, would highly recommend!

I loved the concept of providing moving water, and a filter to keep it a little cleaner longer. When I saw that it holds 2.5 gallons, I immediately clicked on it. I always feel guilty when my "kids" get low in the water bowl and there is so much debris in the water by then.I have 7 small to medium size dogs, and they need a good-sized container because they go through it pretty quick. Especially in the summer. But putting it in big, open containers, it just gets so dirty. So I got this one, thinking Problem Solved. It is not very durable, the plastic tank wouldn't take much to crack it, if somebody were to accidentally kick the side if they didn't see it. (We often don't turn on the lights when going to the kitchen or bathroom at night.) I have it out of the way, but a guest may not realize it's there. When I chose this one, I also looked up the filters so I could go ahead and order some for regular cleaning and maintenance. The filters it led me to were the wrong ones, but I could not know that until I bought them and had them in hand. The ones I received are like small canisters, and they need to be replaced every 2 weeks. At $20 for 4 filters, it's already too expensive for me. But the proper filters are hopefully less costly, I have yet to buy any.But most disappointing for me, was after I put it together, filled it, and turned it on, I was dismayed to find that the tank that holds 2.5 gallons of water only lets maybe a quart or so into the reservoir! When that dwindles down, the pump doesn't continue filling the reservoir, it just starts sucking air.WHAT is the point? I don't get it. It;s really just a quart's worth of water with an expensive filter and useless pump. The dogs love the moving water, but if you ask me, this thing is a waste of EVERYTHING it takes to make one. WHY does it hold that much water if you never actually can use it? If there is an answer, I'd love to hear it!Cannot recommend this one, not for the money. Get a big bowl.

I honestly didn't get to use it long but will tell you what we liked or didn't like about it. I got it for my boxer, He always wanted to drink out of anything but his own water bowl. I have no clue why he did this, all the bowls were the same shape and all stainless steel. I always kept 2 bowls of water on the porch for when we were outside, those were his favs to drink out of but dang would they get filthy. Boxers big old floppy chops really hold onto anything that they've laid them on, dragged the across or bumped into. Those big old gushy mushy jowls are like kryptonite though. So.....I loved that the filter caught all the cheek debris keeping the water clean. I can't remember how much it held but, I only had to fill it up every 4 or 5 days. It was very quiet, you really don't hear it running. Because you may like me be using it outside, I wish that it had a traditional plug and not usb but, not that big of a deal. It was a little hard to get the top lined up for the power supply to the pump, still not that big of an issue, just a minute or 2 of your time, it's worth it. The hardest thing for me was getting the filter cover off. It's easy to put back on but, i usually had to use a screwdriver to pop it up. It comes with plenty of extra filters. You can clean them and re use them to some extent but, I wouldn't do it too many times. Tragically, My boxer very unexpectedly passed away and my pit won't use the fountain, he lets me know when he is thirsty and waits for me to bring the water to him, ridiculous, i know. So I ended up donating it to the local animal control, they were ecstatic to get it.
