Got these steps for an older cat who can no longer jump. He uses them to get in and out of his favorite chair and has even used the built-in "condo" a bit. These stairs look decent and are quite sturdy. I'm very happy with them and definitely recommend them.

I wanted to love these stairs, but they just have too many frustrating problems!The sewing is awful quality, with haphazard seams leading to unsightly bits of black fabric sticking out around the bottom. I’m afraid if I trim them the low quality fabric will fray so I’m going to try gluing them. But at this price point I shouldn’t have to deal with any quality issues this bad!The stair treads to not fit properly. I can barely get them to go back into place if I remove them to access the space inside (making the storage a little useless unless I want to deal with attempting to cram the top back on every time).When you finally do get the stairs on top, the way they lap over the edge pushes them away from the next step a little bit, making it impossible for them to sit flush against each other. Since the stairs are held together by strips of velcro on the sides that are *supposed* to touch, it doesn’t get a very good grip and they separate way too easily.Other stairs I’ve gotten from different companies do not have any of these problems. I picked this one because of the cave feature but it wasn’t worth it. I’d rather have plain steps that are better quality and more functional!

My cat is 12 and doesn’t get up and down as easy. While I’d have like something sturdier and it isn’t as tall as I expected, but this works absolutely great for her and it is padded! She hasn’t slipped or fallen with this and prefers to use this to get on and off the bed.
