If you are told that this is the right replacement part, and your old part has a "flower" tip on the bottom, but are concerned because the picture does not look like the part you took out of your faucet, don't worry, and DON'T THROW YOUR OLD STEM AWAY. The white sleeve comes off and you put your old metal brass sleeve on (as long as it's not broken). This information is not made very clear online, and I had to call Price Pfister a year and a half ago to get this info when I had to replace the cold stem and couldn't figure out what the replacement part was from local hardware stores or online.For my faucet, I had to modify it (as above, using the instructions included in the package) for my model, since the design is slightly different than this stem. I had to use part of my old stem (the outer brass sleeve) and part of the new stem (the inner core), the parts slid together perfectly and install back in the faucet. I didn't get it quite right the first time (it leaked), but followed the instructions more carefully and figured out what I did wrong. (I had to make sure the rubber gasket on the inside of the white core was transferred to the old part to create the seal).I'm fairly handy, so it was likely a common mistake to make, but also an easy fix once I knew to be more careful and look more closely at the instructions and use my brain a bit -- the logic of stopping the flow of water out the stem.Easier fix (and cheaper) than installing a whole new faucet. I've had to replace the cold stem, as well. Not the highest quality faucet, but at least they support with reasonably priced replacement parts (with pretty good instructions).Took me 15 minutes, even with the error I made on the first try. However, because I have replaced the cold stem before (a year or so ago?), maybe I was more confident and it took me less time?When I had to replace the cold stem, it took me about 3 weeks of shopping and research to figure out how to do it. Maybe this info will help save you that time?

I had previously installed two new replacement cartridges from another brand, and each time they would bind up and make noise when warm water was flowing.Third time's the charm; I installed this OEM Price Pfister cartridge a week ago and now the faucet operates like new.Back when I bought the other units, I think I had been put off by the appearance of this OEM part. In our application, we have to remove the white sleeve before installing; it slips off the cartridge easily. Price Pfister illustrates this on a brief little repair video.In summary, this one works better, was delivered faster, and was cheaper than the other two I tried. What's not to like?

This product was necessary for my kitchen sink. The packaging on the product was barebones, in a good way. It comes in a small plastic bag with a set of instructions. The instructions were, in hindsight, very clear. However, I did use a video to assist.To hire a plumber to do this easy fix would likely have resulted in over $100 so for the price point of this product it saved a lot of money.I have had the product installed for about two weeks and my drip has stopped and no further leakage as been noted.I highly suggest this product if youd like to save a few bucks and don’t mind spending about 15 minutes installing.

Perfect fit and most important it stopped the water leak. Initially I though I purchased the wrong cartridge, but I found this was dual fit. For my faucet I had to slide off the white outer shell it fit perfectly in the faucet. Actually reading the provided instruction helps.

Worked perfectly for my bathroom faucet. My faucet has been leaking for almost a year now. Just a drop or two a min, but it was getting annoying. Whi knew it was this piece that was needing to be replaced. Installation was quick and easy and now my faucet is as good as new. Saved me a lot of money not having to replace the while fixture.

Dripping sink faucet, this is the part to replace it. Easy-peasy, can be replaced with adjustable-wrench and an allen wrench to take the handles off. Takes longer to shut the water supply off than to replace these cartridges.And -- Yes, I do know that warranty covers this if you dare call Pfister directly. That takes weeks to deliver and your mileage may vary. I've not been terribly successful getting parts this way so I bite the bullet and just buy them.Best of luck to you!

It's the real thing. You just need to make sure it's tightened down well, otherwise it will drip.
