I needed a replacement for my old Delta shower cartridge, and this RP19804 fit perfectly. The included RP22734 bonnet nut was a nice touch, making the installation even easier. My shower is working like new again, and I’m very happy with the quality!

I was struggling to find a replacement for my 1995 Delta shower faucet, but this RP19804 cartridge fit perfectly! It was easy to install, and now my shower works like new.

Despite the description, this did NOT fit my shower. I have a Delta Monitor 1400 series, pre 2007, and the length of this part did not allow the cartridge to seat all the way in.Holding it next to the cartridge I was replacing, and even the Delta brand part I ended up having to buy from Lowe's, I could not discern the difference in length.I Googled and did all the things, checked all the things, and then bought the Delta brand part from Lowe's. I opened the Delta package and it slid right in no problem. I took the Delta part back out and put this one in, just to check, and it didn't go.

"This Delta cartridge was exactly what I needed for my 1300/1400 series monitor that was made before 2006. Mine was manufactured in 2002, and luckily, I kept the manual to confirm the model number. Taking out the old cartridge was a bit tricky—it actually broke into two pieces. The outer part twisted off, but the inner part was still stuck in the brass valve body. After removing the seats and springs, I sprayed some penetrating oil into the water holes, waited about an hour, and then used a screwdriver and pliers to finally pry it out.The new cartridge went in smoothly and immediately stopped the dripping that had been driving me crazy. I’m really happy with this part. It feels solid, well-made, and fits perfectly with my valve. I think it's great.Doing the repair myself probably saved me around $300 in plumber fees, so this part was totally worth it. If you're unsure about which Delta part to get, I highly recommend this one—it worked perfectly and saved me a lot of trouble!"

I wouldn’t bother getting the extra ring and o-rings next time. Not needed — not sure if ever needed. Biggest problem at installation was removing the old one — putty knife got it moving then simple. NO INSTRUCTIONS!

The RP19804 shower cartridge worked perfectly as a replacement for my old Delta faucet. It was easy to install and stopped the leaking issue I had with my shower.
