Our dogs just came home from a month of board and train and the trainer worked with them using prong collars. We found this one and love it. The clip lock feature is awesome, makes it easier to get the collar on and off the dogs. It comes with rubber prong tips that you can put on the prongs. A few have come off, but that's to be expected. It doesn't matter if you have them on or off, the metal prongs are rounded and not sharp. The collar itself is VERY sturdy, a little larger than we expected, but it does the job nicely. Even fits when we have the e-collars on. Our trainer loved them when we showed them to him!

Excellent training collar for my very active German Shorthair Pointer. Pinch collar comes with additional rubber tips and it has a sturdy metal clasp which eases placing the collar on your dog. The training collar has two (2) metal rings to attach your leash, in the rare event of a clasp failure the two metal rings will still provide the handler a secure controlled collar. This is a quality product at an excellent price point!

Does a fine job in holding my 90 lbs. Airedale for setting me airborne. It applies slight pressure to her neck but in no way hurts her. I would be in traction if she continued her Iditarod pace. Fair price and well made.

The product is as it states, and it works well for my dog. No complaints about workmanship, design or function. However, instructions did not come on link removal. I used pliers to squeeze links as I have on a previous collar, but it was still very difficult and damaged the adjacent link when reconnecting ends; damage was due to incorrect placement of pliers I believe. Still works, but sometimes kinks. NOTE: A stronger person might not have a problem. I have arthritis in my hands. ALSO, I WISH you could choose the size of the links as I feel the links in the medium size are really too big for my 55 lb dog.

I got this for my German Shepard. I put it on as per instructions and it was too big so I took out 2 links and it fit like the instructions advised. I put it on her and we went walking. She went to run off and I tugged it and she stopped! Amazing! She listens to me now because she doesn’t want me to tug! Walk went great! This is really going to help me train her on leash so I can take her all the places with me and not be afraid she’s going to pull me like a doll! Highly recommend but read directions! For the pups sake!

I looked for an excellent review history for pronged dog collars and came up with this product. The price was on the low end for similar articles so I had reservations about the quality but so far I have not been disappointed. The prongs are well finished with rounded tips and come with rubber caps for additional protection. Even if the rubber caps become dislodged the prongs will not cause damage to the dogs neck. I cant tell about the quality of the nickel plating since it normally takes a few years of use to see if it adequately protects the underlying steel from rust traces but visually it looks fine. Based on previous purchases I would say this is equal in quality to others costing 20-30% more.
