I am amazed at the change in latch hook kits today. This little rug is already bound and has a slip stopping backing already attached. What a great idea! Make the concept easier and it will catch on. I love to latch hook. Some kits are nicer than others. This one is nice. The finishing with the pillow backing has a nice light embossed floral pattern. The yarn is soft and the pattern is clearly printed on the canvas. I made this one for a friend for her birthday. I liked it so much I bought a second one for me.

Let's get the one good thing out of the way first: there was enough yarn provided to finish project.Bad things:1. Canvas matrix is sewed on crooked to pillow backing, so it's difficult to decide where to start and partial rows of yarn are needed to finish the project.2. Instructions horrible, see if you can understand this: "White net pillowcase because it is full embroidery, processing time will have 1-2 grid error. the lack of grid can not embroidery, does not affect the finished product."3. Yarn colors do not match instructions.4. Yarn identified by weird symbols on the diagram, not something logical like letters or numbers.5. Project came packaged in a zip-lock baggie, so instructions were wrinkled making the diagram even more difficult to read.Bottom line: only buy this project if you really know what you're doing and can work around bad materials and instructions.
