I couldn't pass up trying this part for under $10 when the OEM wanted $70. It's an exact fit and works great. Just be sure your seat needs the short length of cable between the handle and the bolt-in bracket (some models have the bracket right under the D-ring.) The biggest problem with installing was that I had to pull out the end seat of my 4-piece sectional to get at the broken middle one. Once that was done, swapping out the cable took minutes.2 notes for installation on Thomas Payne Heritage sectional compnents:1. The pull handle end is held in by bolts not screws (as I'd assumed). Just be aware that the nut will drop off on the inside and above a metal frame member, so you'll need to have the footstool up to catch the nut and put it back on with the new cable bracket.2. The spring end that attaches to the release should be threaded overtop the L-shaped silver bracket. At first, I ran it under because that's how the original was done (see pic comparing the ends before install). That little bend made the handle REALLY hard to pull. Looks to me like this one section was put together wrong (different from my other middle seat) and probably why the original cable broke after 2 years.I have no reason to think this new cable won't last, and it's a fantastic value!

This cable is an exact replacement for the recliner release on our Thomas Payne sofa/recliners in our Grand Design RV. The part seems to be well made and feels sturdy. Time will tell. Delivery was within a reasonable time frame.Installation was not particularly easy since I chose to replace the cable without removing the adjacent recliner and there was limited space to work. When i need to replace the next broken cable (and I'm certain there will be another) I would consider sliding the recliner out from the adjoining ones before replacing.
