We had neglected to cover our above ground pool at the end of last summer. It became full of leaves and got yucky - I didn't want to have to get in there to find the drain. This pump went in and did all the work for me! The hose and fittings that come with it work great! The guard around the pump keep it from getting clogged. I would recommend this pump to anyone in a similar situation - well worth the money!!!

This product is fine for intended use as an inexpensive light duty pump.- not intended to drain your pool- not intended for water deeper than 5 feet- from my experience, the provided vinyl hose is unusable unless you take the time to carefully straighten it out and press out the kinks.I needed to remove an inch of water from my pool after recent rains (water level above the tops of the skimmers). I'd just backwashed the pool and didn't want to do it again just yet. Put this pump in 6 inches of water on the first pool step and was able to drop my water level by 1 inch in 4 hours. Will use this again next time pool level gets too high and not ready to backwash.

This little pump makes a world of difference when having to drain a hot-tub. So easy to use, so fast and quiet. It made a difficult job before a breeze now. Totally worth the price.

I actually purchases to put in my grandchildren’s little pool in the backyard. I place the long hose over a table and the water flows down, which helps circulate the water.. I also use it for the cover when it rains to get the water that is standing off the top of the cover. It has very good suction and takes all the water right off. This was a great purchase for the money.
