Pro - Speaker sound quality is better than expected & nice value for price point. Clear, non distorted sound on both the AM & FM bands and volume easily fills my large living room with 16’ ceiling. Have not yet installed batteries, came with a partial charge. Plugged it in anyway and gave it a full charge, long lasting! Great size, sturdy and it looks nice. Top handle makes it easy to grab & carry to another room. Once tuned into a station, no distortion or buzzing. Edit 8/26/24: Just used the Bluetooth function for 1st time & it works/sounds great! Connected iPhone via Bluetooth to stream iTunes in another room. Nice function!Cons - Station tuner is not backlit. The signal & battery strength LED lights are very bright & distracting at night. Also, would prefer knobs or dials for tuning, however the tuning wheel is tight & easy to use.I like listening to a certain local FM Jazz station & AM KFI talk radio & had been streaming using iHeart Media but grew weary of iHeart’s streaming promos & commercials. Have a couple smaller transistor radios for emergencies but signal capture & sound are lacking so thought I’d upgrade to better quality for in-home listening. This JEUJUG portable radio fits the bill & I’m very satisfied with this purchase!

I purchased this item to use as a Bluetooth speaker on my nightstand, so I wouldn't have to worry anymore about that Bluetooth speaker running out of battery in the middle of the night when I am listening to music.It paired up instantaneously with my phones. I have an old Pocophone (2018) without a SIM card that I use for playing music from my two favorite streaming apps to save battery on my backup phone. (see below) The JEUJUNG paired up with it instantaneously. The audio was a low and I had to turn up the volume to 80% on both the phone and JEUJUNG to get a loud enough sound to my satisfaction, which actually isn't a very loud soundI thought it might be the JEUJUNG that was causing a weaker sound, so I paired it up with my not so old Galaxy A52 5G (2020) with a SIM card which I keep on the nightstand just in case I have to make an emergency call at night. I also use it as my backup phone. Anyway, the JEUJUNG also paired up instantaneously with the Galaxy phone. This time the sound was plenty loud enough so I think the weaker sound with the Pocophone phone pairing is due to the phone and not the JEUJUNG.I leave the JEJUNG plugged in when I am using it. No more having to charge the Bluetooth speaker on my nightstand. I only listen to one radio station and other than one program on Sunday morning I only listen to that station in my car. The JEUGUNG found the one station I listen to with a strong enough reception, so if I am in bed on Sunday morning and want to listen to that one program I can use the JEUJUNG for that purpose.I am giving this JEUJUNG a five star rating because it works as I hoped it would when I bought it. I could ding it one star for the weak sound when paired with the Pocophone F1 but since the sound is still loud enough when the volume is turned up to 80% and more than loud enough when paired with the Galaxy A52 5G I am giving the JEUJUNG a five star rating. Great value for the money and does what I hoped it would.Ironically when playing music straight from the phone the sound is louder on the Pocophone than on the Galaxy. Go figure. However, the sound is louder with better quality when playing music using the JEUJUNG in its Bluetooth mode than it is straight from the phones. Also, the sound is louder from the JEUJUNG than it was from my the old Soundcore 2 which the JEUJUNG replaced. The Soundcore 2 does throw out a deeper bass but still it requires charging which takes a long time if the battery is low and that is why I replaced it with the JEUJUNG.

This is a solid little radio but not great. You get what you pay for. I like it better than the same unit with a LCD window/alarm clock ect. this one was about $7 cheaper and also I think it sounds a little better than the more expensive one. You get volume but you can't really blast it cause the sound isn't high fidelity. But it works if you're busy doing chores or working like painting a bedroom and need something to break up the monotony and boredom of your task. If you fiddle with the tuning dial you can pretty much nail down the station. If you unplug it from the power cord the reception gets worse. I live in a rural small town kidda out in the boone docks. I tried out the blue tooth and it plays my audio and will be helpful but the sound quality is not like a name brand bluetooth speaker JBL, Bose etc. It is just OK. The bass does not thump and I don't think I'll be jamming/rocking out with this thing. I just got it today. But my first impressions are just OK. I can't give a raving review like a lot of the others. The good thing is that I'll be able to hear it while I'm working, it seems to get loud enough to be practical and functional but the sound is not excellent or awesome. PS I don't like that it won't play if the charging cord is connected and it is unplugged from the wall, I have to wind up the cord and wrap it around the antenna upright to take the cord around with the radio.

I did not read everything about this radio when I bought it. It stays in the bathroom for shower time. I always plug it in because I assumed it ran with the cord or 4 batteries. So I just opened it up (after unplugging it from the wall) to see if it took C or D batteries. (Takes D) Unplugged the cord from the radio - and it started playing. I was like, what mystery is this?? So I came back to Amazon and read the specs, and I'll be damned, it has an internal lithium battery. That means I have plenty of showers with music and don't have to mess around with a cord until it needs it. Just makes it a little easier to store. BTW, this radio, with its retro design, has excellent sound, I have no complaints. Rechargeable battery, a bonus.
