Another one which I would rate 4.5 if I could. It is a terrific value, and very good for most purposes. I got it primarily to add flour as needed when I am kneading dough and balancing, and for that it works fine. I looked over the sets available and decided that it would be nice to have one for powdered sugar, and for cocoa, and for cinnamon... and, my daughter is a chef. Who knows what she will do with the others.That said you could easily pay as much for 1 or 2 shakers, so it really is a very good value. My one and only complaint is that the mesh is not fine enough for some things. I would wind up with way too much cinnamon in my coffee, and even for powdered sugar I want a finer mesh. My daughter has been using strainer baskets which also work well but, for the most part have the same size mesh as these little containers, so when I went to dust my loaves with flour for their final rise, I got a good deal more than I had intended. I do think it will be more controllable with these, but would prefer a finer mesh.I will add that I like that they come with lids so that I do not need to empty each whem I am done and refill the next time I want to use them, but those lids are not air tight. They were never represented as such and so I would not hold it against the seller, but since I live with 90% humidity, these will need to be stored in a ziplock or another container if I am going to leave them filled. That is fine. They are small and so it is easily done.-----On a completely separate note, I work with hot glass and these are very good for dispersing frit. The mesh is a little large for enamels or mica, but for glass artists, this is a good, inexpensive tool, and it is steel so it is safe to leave on your bench or have near the torch. (If my daughter does not find some other powdered spice she wants these for, the other 2 or 3 will quickly disappear into my glass studio) and I have little doubt it is what I had in mind when I ordered a set of 6.

They are slightly smaller than I thought they would be, but they are the perfect size for what I needed.I like to cook and use this premium dehydrated cheeses (Parmesan and Rameno and cheader) from firehouse (excellent cheese btw) to finish the dish. I had tried using a sifter but the covering I got was uneven.These shakers have a fine grate mesh that provides a nice even dusting each time.Highly recommended.

Feel so fancy making French toast or waffles and sprinkling powdered sugar on top. Works perfect and love the plastic top. 6 was to many so was able to gift a few. Found other spices I could use as well but the powered sugar was why I purchased and is PERFECT!!!

I specifically needed a shaker for CINNAMON and Powered Sugar. I bought the 6 set as I could see other users. Sieve wire size TOO big for Cinnamon. The Cinnamon POURS through-total disaster. My solution? FOLDED a Kleenex and placed inside the Cinnamon sieve-works perfectly. ( I would have been happy to pay $2 more and been offered 6 sieve tops with two different sizes of wire gauge.The other 5 work perfectly for my needs.

I use these to apply powdered procion dye for low immersion dyeing. Being able to sift each dye mixture precisely allows me to avoid using spoons to place dye. It also helps avoid transfer and contamination between colors. The sifters are sturdy and fine enough to prevent clumps. The plastic lids provide an airtight seal on the container when not in use. I did get a few lids that were a bit misshapen, but they seem to seal just fine.

The clearance between the containers and the covers is a bit off - probably better used to contain desiccant (leaving it shut) rather than using it for spices or the like because the covert is hard to put back.Also the lids barely stay on - OK for the price!
