So, I ordered 6. Three were shipped without the protective tubing that comes standard with online art supply stores. Well, two had heat shrink tubing which was hard to get off. One was damaged inside the heat shrink tubing (that’s the little guy we’ll call Alfalfa).But just because I was hopeful that perhaps I hadn’t gotten cheated AGAIN from this site: all 5 of these were wetted and shaped just prior to taking the picture. The top two are the only ones that hold their edge like they should.So if two outa three ain’t bad, two out of six is a fail. They shipped the sixth all by himself, poor little guy. Hope he makes it.Anyway as far as the product-how it’s supposed to be—I bought these years ago and only now started using them and they’re awesome…if you buy them in person and don’t trust someone who doesn’t take care in what they’re doing. Or takes care just to screw with the guy they’re shipping to. And this seller was not any quicker at delivery either. Last time I’ll buy artists’ paint brushes from this website.Edit: just received the last lonely paintbrush. It was broken.

I used this item for detailed oil painting. These brushes are economical and I can get a nice sharp line until they wear out and then you struggle.
