I installed this hot water heater on a 400sq foot cabin where the old hot water heater had died. Local hot water heaters at Lowes cost over $1000 minimum for identical specifications due to lack of availability on big island. This heater arrived and was identical in size, appearance, and function to the previous heater, except it's digital now, so hookup was quite simple. The led displays are fairly bright, and it's simple to select the desired temperature. This hot water heater is able to sustain extremely hot water fairly indefinitely to a single shower, which was my target. The water flow is good at that volume, and it's operation is fairly silent. Overall quality of the unit seems fine, though time will tell. All in all, I would definitely buy this heater again for a small application like this.

I installed this in the cabin we live in about a month ago and so far it's been working well for us. The distance from the heater to the various taps is fairly short and there is a bit of a lag getting hot water to the outlets, but I believe that is more of a result of the "water saving" fixtures we are stuck with these days and their flow restrictive nature. Water temp fluctuations have been minimal. Though we have noticed some due to the lower temp of the incoming water to the heater after the water has run for a period of time. We have very cold water from our well. The unit is a little noisy, but that is far from our concerns. My only real concern is the water heater cycling when running the washing machine when set to a warm wash temperature. It runs for such a short period that the water doesn't really get an opportunity to heat and I feel like the rapid cycling is probably not good for the heater. I feel this is more of an issue with the washer than the heater. Our solution was to run the washer on a hot setting and reduce the temperature on the water heater. Right now we just have a whole house filter installed in the inlet. We did have a Water Drop scale inhibitor installed, but it leaked and had to return it to Amazon for a replacement. Definitely on the homestead priority list as we have very hard water. All in all we have been pretty happy with the heater. Super easy install except for cutting a hole in the logs for the vent.

The first one that I ordered had some electrical defects when I hooked it up. The system continued to beep on and off constantly and would not work. I filed for a replacement through Amazon and it was a good interaction. I received a replacement model which works perfect!! It's quiet and heats water in seconds.. I'd buy again!

Water heater is awesome! We installed it and have never looked back! You won’t regret it! It will do the whole house if you get the 100,000 btu one! Cheap on propane! Also the vent pipe, don’t waste your time on the cheap plastic one. Get hard metal and use a 4” pipe. The heater is 3” but you can get a reducer 4”x3” and make the pipe 4 inch all the way out. Otherwise you will get a e8 error. Mine worked fine for a few months till I ran into this problem. The cheap plastic pipe melted and almost burned the house down. I used the metal pipe and it works amazing now! It doesn’t leak. It’s nice and solid on that point. With the noise, it’s super quiet with the 4” pipe. Almost don’t hear it running! You’ll be very happy with this and the company is wonderful and helpful!

I paid more for this product than many of its competitors with the thought that you get what you pay for. I installed it in late spring of 2024 and it worked great through the winter. This is heating a tiny house and serves one shower, and one sink, neither are used at the same time. Winter hit and it started shutting down on me and after some research, I discovered that the propane tank needed to be kept warmer. Keep in mind I live in the desert of New Mexico. Once I built a heated compartment around the propane tank, I was sure that would fix the problem. WRONG! Now it gives a different error code and will produce 60-90 seconds of hot water before turning cold. Then you turn the water off and immediately back on, wait for it to heat up again and get another 60-90 seconds of hot water. After going through this mess of a cycle 3 to 4 times, you can actually get several minutes of hot water, up to about 5 and a half minutes before it gets cold again. According to the error code it could be one of 3 different problems, none of which make any sense. I bought this because I needed a DIY unit with no plumber fees. What I got was a mess. Shower time should be relaxing but my showers are now the worst part of my day…. Don’t buy this unless you don’t mind a product that is not dependable and doesn’t work as they said it would….UPDATE 2-11-2025After posting the above review, the company reached out with a misleading email which stated that they were offering me a full refund for my trouble. I wasn’t looking for that, I just wanted to post my experience with this product. When I responded to their message, they offered me customer support instead of a refund which I was very happy about. I need a working water heater, not my money back. I utilized the help from customer support and though the problem got better, It was still persistent. So I let them know this, hoping for more fix options. Instead they ask for my elevation which I gave to them. Now they have come back with a screen shot of their Q&A stating that the unit is not recommended for use above 2000 ft above sea level. I’m in the desert at 3600. Their offer now is to send me a shipping label and return the unit. I get that chemical reactions like cakes rising and things like that are affected by altitude but I worked 8 years a s a plumber and never once did we instal a water heater that had an elevation requirement on it. This is nonsense and completely unacceptable. I don’t know anyone who would ask about an elevation requirement on a water heater and more than that don’t understand why they would make a unit that can’t work at all elevations… don’t waste your time or money, there are far better products out there.

I was initially skeptical due to the lower price point—roughly half or more compared to competing models—but I don't need all the extra gadgets like blue tooth. This tankless water heater has exceeded my expectations. It effortlessly supports our 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home, using a 3/4-inch Canadian cold water supply at approximately 55°F. Despite the lower incoming temperature, it heats water to 130°F almost instantly without any need to reduce flow or pressure, which was a common issue with the 80 amp electric model I previously used (I would only recommend electric units for single-point or very limited applications ).The build quality appears excellent, and installation was straightforward for this jack of all trades handyman who handles plumbing, venting, and gas connections on my own. Overall, this has proven to be a great purchase—both cost-effective and highly efficient. Add the 3/4 Inch IPS Isolator Tankless Water Heater Service Valve Kit. I bought the GASLAND for $89 cdn on Amazon. This allows for easy periodic maintenance.

Pleased with the purchase (so far) water temp fluctuation is a bit of an issue but we are getting used to it and figuring it out as we go. Seems decent but till will really tell.
