I researched all types of mat carriers for my new, thick Manduka Pro mat. I didn't like needing to perfectly roll my old mat to fit the opening of a mat bag, and my new mat is thicker and not as easy to get into a perfectly tight roll. So I wanted an open strap design that could adjust even if I didn't roll up perfectly after class. I learned that many velcro straps wouldn't be long enough to fit my mat. I decided on this sliding style but was concerned about reviews about similar straps not staying in place. As it turns out, I haven't found that to be a problem at all. The rugged, nubby material holds in place and is easy to adjust. I have seen some in the stores where the material is not as rugged and might slide around more easily. And as long as the mat roll is reasonably tight, it can still have a little bit of give (parts of the mat sliding down out of the roll, for example) and the strap will still hold in place. When stored vertically, rolled up, the strap does tend to loosen up and needs a quick tightening before carrying, but it doesn't have to be re-rolled. The green is true to the picture, nice and bright.

This is exactly what I needed for my yoga mat. I have a fairly thick (5mm) mat, and I was previously using a strap that had elastic rings on the end. It was kind of annoying trying to stretch the elastic over the ends, so I bought this strap instead.The loops on the end are fed through a smaller loop and can be extended or shortened by taking up or letting out slack from the strap itself. Then you can adjust them tightly against the mat.The strap is also just long enough to loop over my shoulder, cross-body style. It's a bit of a tight fit, but I think it's because my mat is so thick. It's definitely usable as a cross-body sling.Plus it's really inexpensive, and it arrived quickly. Great strap!

I bought this to carry my Gaiam 8mm-thick, 100% rubber Pilates mat. Translation: the mat is bulky (doesn't roll up as tightly as standard yoga mats) and heavy (probably 7-8 lbs). Thanks to the adjustable loops on this carrier it fits around the mat easily, though larger loops means shorter strap, so I do need to slide the loops fairly close together in order to get enough slack in the loop to wear it over my shoulder. That's not really a problem though. My only complaint is given the weight of my mat, the strap does dig into my shoulder quite a bit, and it becomes pretty uncomfortable after a few minutes. I'm going to look for a pad I can attach and then I'm sure it will be fine. But for the price this definitely meets my expectations.

It is a very simple product, so I would be really impressed if somehow the manuafacturer managed to mess it up somehow. It works as expected, and the price is right on the money (it is china-based, who could have guessed). The only reason for 3 stars is because my yoga mat slips down a little bit, and depending on how long I am carrying it in the strap, the strap sometimes loosens and allows my yoga mat to expand...which doubles its size and, at tines, becomes a large nuisance on my shoulder, bumping into everything in it's wake.All things considered, I would recomend it. As long as you arent traveilng far and wide with your mat strapped to your shoulder, this will work for you. (And the price is right!)

Great product! I expected it to be stretchy, because I used to have a stretchy yoga strap, but it overstretched and stopped holding the mat.This one is not stretchy at all. It almost feels like a yoga strap for yoga practice. I was worried it would slip out of the mat, but it holds it really well, and doesn't slip out at all. It's very comfortable and what I love about it, is that I can use it as a strap during yoga practice too! It's like 2 in 1. Love, love love this purchase!!

There is not a lot to say about this because there is not much to this. It's nylon webbing which does a great job as a sling for my yoga mat. I've been using it for years and it is still going strong.

Not what you expect, this is only the sling for the mat, not the mat itself.
