Pro-Tec has always been the go-to with a skate or bmx helmet. I wear a medium in every other cut of Pro-Tec helmet, so I just assumed I would wear a medium in the full cut. I was right, this helmet fits great.It’s relatively comfortable, there is a little bit of getting used to the ear coverage but after a while you forget it’s even on. It’s a little less ventilated than the standard helmets they offer but I’m sure you could tell that just by looking at it.The one I got is the flat black one, and it has a smoother feel to it than previous flat black helmets I have had. It’s more of a “rubatone†finish, like it’s coated in.a soft rubber layer.All in all I would replace this helmet with the exact same model if it were lost or damaged.

Pro tec is always a good choice this helmet has the hard foam inside with padding. For the price it's great though

I saw other reviews about this helmet having little or no padding. This is true but you are getting exactly what the picture shows. I compared this helmet to pictures on the Protec website and that's how Protec makes them. Go look for yourself, they have a little bit of padding on mostly styrofoam. I bought this for the look and style, just wish they made them with more padding for better protection. It is a certified helmet so it must protect your head I suppose. You can always add more padding inside if you desire.

Nearly all bike helmets don't take well to rain, having fewer vents ensures a drier head and as I comute year round its an esential.Also wind chill and noise play a huge part so having ear protection as well completes the setup.This is a great robust feeling lid that is as good as it looks.
