LOCKNLUBE PUSH-ON 90° GREASE COUPLER

Big Lock N Lube fan and I'm really glad that they designed this and other couplers for hard to reach zerk fittings. I have a saltwater boat with a zerk that is an inch behind part of the hydraulic steering mechanism. It's impossible to reach with standard grease couplers. This slotted right angle 90 degree coupler allowed me to gain access to this zerk by attaching from the side vs. front. It connects to a standard Lock N Lube coupler, and has a nylon lined slot that you slide over the zerk from the side. You need to give it a firm push to attach it to the zerk and firm pull to remove it. It wasn't hard and it worked perfectly. I'll be using it every year to keep my outboard from rusting frozen.

It works as advertised. Perfectly.I saw other people reviewing it saying it just went all over the zerk fitting and not inside, and there’s only two reasons that would happen. Either the joint can’t take any grease, or the adapter wasn’t seated properly. You have to press it all the way on until the zerk fitting bottoms out in the groove on the adapter.Do yourself a favor and try this- get yourself a 7/16†deep socket with extender, and a hammer. Place the adapter on the zerk and press it as far on as you can. Next, place the socket & extender on the nipple end and give it a few light taps with the hammer to seat the adapter. It’s a nylon sleeve so it’ll go on eventually. Press your grease gun on the adapter’s nipple and give it a squeeze.You may need a pair of needle nose pliers or vice grips to pull it back off when you’re done because you hat nylon sleeve holds it tight.This all seems like a lot of work, but if you have to undo your suspension just to get at 4 fittings located INSIDE of a bracket on TOP of two lower control arms, you’ll still come out on top.

Installed new lower ball joints and the zerk fitting is in a tight spot and my normal locknlube couldn't reach the angle, so I ordered this product and it worked liek a charm on the first try.

The adapter works fine for what it is suppose to do. However, it's a real hassle to get it locked onto the nipple and to remove it after use. It works by sliding it on and a sloped plastic insert tightens the connection as you slide it. I can barely get it on any fitting I have without excessive force to make it lock in place. Removing it is just as difficult. I have a grease gun from the same brand with a storage nipple on it and this adapter slides onto that a little easier than any other fitting I've tried. I'll eventually just change a few of my fitting to a 90 degree version and forget about using this.

Even with a 90 degree elbow could not access grease zerk. With this item was able to slide it on and complete task!

I was not able to complete the lube job on my motor homes zerk fittings due to 2 of them at unusual hard to access locations. Once I recieved this fitting to my grease gun, I was able access them and lube all of the critical locations on the motor home.

The coupler works and greases the machine at tight angles you normally can't reach but removing this from the nipple is such a hassle. It's easy to slide right onto the nipple, the grease doesn't really dispense too well and it does spill out though.

This grease gun attachment allows me to grease the suspension even though the grease nipple has about 10mm of clearance.

It kinda works, you have to apply pressure from the back or it just makes a mess and will not put grease where you want it.
