I bought these “snoods†in anticipation of my dog getting surgery to remove a thyroid tumor. The surgeon recommended that I get a “snood†or “turtleneck†to cover as much of his incision as possible during recovery in order to prevent him from scratching it (as the location of the incision would not allow him to wear an e-collar). We are now three weeks post-op, and the area that was covered by these looks great! He tried to scratch several times but was not able to get to the incision because these snoods were thick enough that they protected his skin from his nails. They also seemed breathable, and durable—I switched them out daily and washed them in the machine, and they haven’t ripped or faded at all. They were soft and he seemed as comfortable as he could be in them.My dog is a 75-lb. pitbull with a 19†neck circumference, so after measuring him, I chose a size large. They fit loosely on him, but I think that a medium would have been too snug, and for these purposes I am glad that they weren’t too tight.This is less of a critique of the product and more something to note if your dog has features similar to mine. My dog is older and has quite a bit of loose neck skin, which did push the snood down farther toward his chest than I wanted. I didn’t buy this to put it over his ears, but it wouldn’t have stayed there if I wanted it to because of the characteristics of his neck.Overall, I am happy that I found these and recommend them to anyone who is looking for post-surgery protection on a hard-to-cover area on a dog.

I bought these for a somewhat unusual reason. I have little dogs but the two play really rough sometimes and one of them is always trying to bite the neck of the other. I should mention that my dogs are hairless! I sprayed bitter apple on this and put it on the dog that's always getting bitten. Works like a charm! These will also be handy when the weather gets bad as I can pull it up around their head for going out to potty. These are a nice medium weight ribbed knit material. They are very stretchy and they wash well.

The material is like a ribbed cotton/polyester blend. Seems to stretch enough to go over the head but is not snug around the rim so it is easy pushed back. Essentially, it is not functional. You are better off cutting off a piece of a long sleeve shirt that you no longer need and sewing a piece of elastic or drawstring around the edges. Maybe your sent will help calm your fur baby but I have not tested this theory. It is a good size so I will be taking my own advice and making some adjustments to it. Overall, it did not work to sooth my dog during the car ride

Only annoying thing is that it slides down so always having to adjust it, but if I go smaller it would be too small

Giving 1 star because I was looking for noise protection and this advertised it, but does not deliver. My dog doesn't seem to mind wearing it, which is good, and I guess tonight I'll find out if it at least helps with anxiety, but this is 2 layers of elastic mesh, with nothing to absorb sound.Had they advertised this as simply a calming headband, I'd give 4-5 stars.

Our dog hates to be brushed/ combed especially her ears. We got this to keep her ears dry when she eats moist food. She looks cute in it. She’s not a big fan but she puts up with it because, we are talking food.

My dog shook this off in less than a minute - every single time! It may have saved a few splatters, but only if I was diligent following him. Miggt be good for a less active older dog. Thankfully, the Noflapearwrap arrived a couple days later.

It's a good item if your dog has long ears and gets them dirty while eating or if your dog is anxious from loud sounds.

It fit my small dog quite well but it much thinner than it expected. I would say it’s the thickness of a very light sock. My dog doesn’t like wearing it (he is sensitive to wearing anything) but it wouldn’t block any sound out as far as I’m concerned

This thing is amazing. It protects my dog's ears from very piercing noise. I'm not sure he's crazy about it because it is somewhat tight but not overly tight. He's a dog so yeah, of course he's not going to like having it on but his hearing will be saved and that's what's important.
