I haven't installed them yet, but I like the design and build quality. I bought them to install on my college sons' desks in their apartments, but haven't had a chance yet. The screws are hidden once the cover is installed, so it's a good deterrent. Someone could pry it out of any wood surface, but it's a deterrent. That's all I'm looking for. The cable locks are pickable as well, so you can only hope to discourage someone from a quick grab....

Good value, should prevent my cable locked device from simple theft. I used two longer screws for more security and screwed the anchor into a stud.I would love to do some destructive testing to see how durable this anchor really is, but it seems sturdy enough to prevent a snatch and grab.

We got a new computer at our club. We still had the cable and lock but needed new anchors for the new items. I cleaned and dried all three surfaces before attaching the anchors. Following the directions, I linked together the Monitor, CPU, and printer. Within 3 days two of the anchors dropped off. We didn't expect Fort Knox security, but we at least expected to keep someone from simply walking away with the electronics. It's beyond the Amazon return window. A big fail.

We used these in common areas to secure laptops that are set out for public use. We used the screws to secure to the desks and it worked great.
