I got these to extend the connection on my outdoor spigots which are at ground level and difficult to connect hoses to. I cannot say what the long-term durability is but the plastic is heavy duty, so I expect they will last a long time.

I got these spigot adapters to use for a specific purpose, instead of for a rain barrel. I actually needed to extend a water hose connection for my washing machine from my wall more to make it better accessible and it was just what I needed for this. Very simple to install and tighten and fit the other connection perfectly. No leaks after installation and now I can turn the water off and on with ease. It is made from a heavy gauge plastic and is very durable and would well outside also. I am very happy with this product and how it functions for what I needed it for.

It's plastic which is fine as that matches the product description but as someone using those accessories very often, I find it only average plastic.With Spring starting, I'll put these to use very soon and update here if it surprises me.

Our outdoor spigot leaks when not either all the off or all the way on. I seem to be the only one who can remember to turn it all the way on when using it so to make it easier I put this on. This way I can leave the spigot all the way on all the time and then just turn the water off and on with the lever on this unit. Works great so far and no leaks.

We have been siphoning water out of our rain barrels for years. It is so much more convenient to attach a hose at the base, twist the valve, and have it flow. The back fittings attach tightly to the barrel, the valve seals the fitting completely. So no water loss, just added convenience.

Living off grid I wear these out often - at least the cheap ones. This one is very high quality and should last for years. This is a must have item and I highly recommend it
