We liked the appearance of this barrel. It’s a great size and super durable. It was easy to assemble although once you do, don’t place it in the sun as the water inside will heat up, our mistake. It has a net on the top to still catch the rain while lid is zipped up. The different spouts performs as they should.

I purchased this rain water barrel to fill it with water and use it as a thermal mass in my 100 sq feet greenhouse . I live in the San Francisco bay area and we experienced the rare freezing temperatures 3 days in a row this week without a lot of sunlight. On all these days, my thermometer recorded minimum outside temperatures of 33F while the minimum in the greenhouse with the rain barrel was a 'warm' 40F, a difference of 7Farenheit solely due to the introduction of this black rain barrel. On non freezing days and with sunlight, the rain barrel is maintaining a minimum tempearture of 50F. I recommend the use of this rain barrel as a cheap source of thermal mass.And the customer service is great too!! The rain barrel I received shipped with slightly longer fiber glass rods for the circular top frame. They promptly sent me the correct rods when I explained the issue.

Today it rained a lot. The barrel could not send the excess water out of the relief valve and instead spilled over the top, then tipped over and split at the zipper. It is useless.

Surprisingly difficult to set up. Should be a 10 min project. Takes more than an hour because the plastic sleeves where the structural parts fit through are so tight that you can't get the poles into the sleeve without a lot of manipulation and strength. The poles come apart easily and once you have it inside the sleeve you can't get it out. You will not be disassembling this in the office season.

This rain barrel was a little difficult to put together, but once it was up, it felt very sturdy. It collects and stores rain perfectly, and does not appear to have any leaks.

The barrel seems good, we just had a big rainfall and it's full now, seems to be holding together well. The bad part is that I had to rig it up with some nonstandard parts as it was missing the fiberglass rods for the top of the barrel. I used some brass tubing and it seems to be holding up okay, but would rather have all the parts in the box. Luckily I don't throw anything out and was able to find a replacement, but really, get your stuff together and package the product properly.UPDATE: company contacted me to offer a refund, then rescinded the offer for refund and asked for my contact info to reach out personally, breaking the Amazon TOS. Do not buy from this seller.

I had a 50 gallon similar (different brand) to this before but it didn't have numerous features this one offer so those 100 gallon barrels are a great improvement.The rigid ring on top is a great addition. Its a little hard to slide in. Maybe sanding or smoothing the tips could help here.The preassembled and sealed threads on the lower and middle valves really help reduce leaks compared to other models.The vertical rods are much stronger and stable compared to my other model.They work in series and the side meter serves its purpose.Do not use the green quick connect tube provided with a water pump or between barrels. Its too flexible and small to allow fluid distribution and it will easily close itself with the suction.

I initially very much liked the barrel. However, within the first week and after a heavy rain which filled the barrel, we had a strong wind and something fell on the valve which tore the fabric and drained the barrel. It is now not usable.Edit: the seller replaced the product free of charge. I am very impressed and would definitely buy from this seller again.
