Sound quality is good over all but I think it’s not as good as the ads. Maybe the bigger ine would be better. My kids love it though so I’m keeping it. Easy to read the music sheet

We LOVE it! It is so much fun to play! It's so relaxing too. It can put me and the kids to sleep. One night, I just played to help them fall asleep, and it worked like a charm. It is built well and very sturdy. The only thing I don't love is that the stickers sometimes come off. This can be remedied with the included spare stickers, of which we have already used two. I haven't used it in the rain yet and like it better as an instrument. I don't want the stickers to fall off either. I think finding a better way to number them more permanently would be good for future models, but it sure isn't a deal breaker here. It has a great sound and is easy to play. It has two mallets that also have covers to go on them if you don't get the sound you're looking for, and that can also provide extra protection. I have made a couple very small marks in the finish it seems, so I do recommend using the covers. They make just as good of a sound. I love that it came with a music book! The first song is happy birthday. It is a good start since you can see that there are some of the same numbers marked with dots for the note that is an octave higher. A dot on top means it is high, and a dot underneath means it is low. I like the compact size of this. It's hollow in the middle, so it's easy to grab from the hole in the bottom and move around. It sits on rubber feet that are well balanced and grippy. This is a great gift for the instrument/music enthusiast, kids, a gardener or yard decorator, or a drummer. It has a similar sound to wind chimes, but markedly different and much more relaxing. You can control the volume by how hard or soft you hit, and would be able to be played in an apartment setting. I think it's worth the money since it's such good quality.

This rain drum arrived very quickly, with the accessories packed safely within a zip loc bag within the drum's box. It's a nice weight, is finished in a lovely silver (really more like a silvery gray finish to my eyes) and appears well made and of quality materials. It also includes a zippered carrying/storage bag, which is nice. Although I played around with the mallets and finger picks for several minutes, I really got the drum for the purpose of placing outside and having the rain "play" it. I plan to place it near the screened porch where the rain coming off the metal roof will fall down on it. It may be that I have to move it a few times to find the perfect spot, but I look forward to the process. I think the sound will be beautiful, and I can't wait! (It's not supposed to rain again until maybe 9 days from now, but I'll add to my review after I've been able to hear it in the rain, assuming the system will let me edit my review!)

Very well made and cool sounding notes when played with the sticks provided. Metal construction with high quality painted finish. Comes in different colors so I got the one close to my favorite sports team. open underneath to help resonate the sound. Great for meditation, and although it takes a bit of force to get a solid sound, so I question how much sound will come from leaving it in the rain, I've not been able to try that yes as we are not in the rainy season as yet. I will test in the future outside my covered porch and using a rain protected wireless mic connected to an amplified speaker inside the enclosed porch. It should be interesting.Good metal construction comes with carry case and Xylophone type of playing sticks (not sure what the official name is). Has eight different notes and a soulful Zen sound that would be great for a winding down meditation stint at the end of a busy day. Heavy enough at almost 3 pounds it probably won't blow away is most rainstorms. Can be played with the sticks for drummed on with the fingers. Quite inexpensive for what it is. Recommended.

Kids love it! It is small, light, yet sturdy. Sound is loud enough to fill a large room! Came with a little music book, which wasn't spectacular, a pair of mallets, some finger mallets (which just work okay), and one other piece I have yet to identify. It all came in a nice storage bag with carry straps.Kids were playing songs in less than an hour, like "Can-Can" and the intro to "Mr. Sandman". Very easy to sound out songs. I picked up the mallets and was playing a recognizable song in about 5 minutes.This has been fun for everyone. It sits on the counter and every day someone will play it for a few minutes.

Love the color and that it comes with a carrier. Have been wanting to try this instrument ever since I saw a few YouTube videos on it and never pulled trigger until now. I'm excited to learn along with my kids. Seems to be made of a good quality.
