Glad there is some standardization to these rain gauge tubes. I have a basic stand and this is the third replacement. When it freezes they tend to crack after a few years. I love a rain gauge. Check it every time we get rain so I know how many inches. Easy to read. Highly recommend.

I have two different spots for this gauge, so I can easily alternate between mounting on wooden post, or with the ground stakes to use in any other location in the lawn. Sturdy, well made and a great value !

I’ll keep it short and simple. This thing works. It’s easy to mount- I screwed mine to a deck rail. It reads rain accurately and the remote display is easy to read and has many options and features. I’m very satisfied with this!

But we really had no way to use it until my husband built a holder for it. We had used small glass tubes in a rain gauge holder before but forgot them over winter and broke a lot of them.

Unfortunately, this rain gauge does not work and we have tried every troubleshooting instructions possible. Do NOT buy - very unhappy!

The plastic tubes didn’t fit down in my holder as well as I hope and the numbers are so big it is hard to tell which line they go with but the measure rain ok. The lip on the top catches the snow/ freezing rain blocking more from entering the tube so I had almost as much snow on top of the tube as in it during the last 5 in snow. The handle on the scrubber is so short that the scrubber doesn’t reach the bottom of the tube to clean well around the bottom. Also is do soft that the very part that most needs cleaning can’t be reached or cleaned well.

It collects water when it rains. It gives me an idea of how much rain the garden has received. Is it perfectly accurate? I can't say. But it collects rainwater that I can measure inside the tube as the levels and numbers are large and clear, enough for me to read how much rain fell into the tube. I like that I got 2 and the price for both was reasonable. I will be bringing them in for winter because they will just get buried in the snow, and there's no pint in subjecting them to harsh winter conditions unnecessarily. These were replacement tube's for the cat rain gauge I bought that arrive with a smashed glass tube due to poor packaging and rough delivery. These were packed the same way but didn't arrive all broken because they're a nice clear plastic.
