About this item

  • PRESSURE-COMPENSATING EMITTER: Maintains a constant 1/2 GPH flow rate even when the water pressure changes
  • HOW TO INSTALL: attach to end of 1/4 in. feeder line or punch directly into 1/2 in. supply tubing
  • USE TO WATER A VARIETY OF AREAS: Ideal for individual shrubs and trees in landscapes, and plants in container pots and hanging baskets
  • SELF-CLEANING: emitter features a turbulent flow design that flushes out sediments to reduce clogging
  • COLOR CODED: Comes with fifty 1/2 GPH Pressure Compensating Drippers; Color coded for easy identification of flow rate: red – ½ GPH, ideal for heavy soil/clay areas; black – 1 GPH, ideal for medium soil/loam; green – 2 GPH, ideal for sandy soil

Get precise, even watering to your plant with the ½ GPH Pressure Compensating Dripper. PC emitters deliver the same output of water even when the water pressure varies, and maintain the same flow rate no matter where the emitter is located along tubing. The self-cleaning emitter with turbulent flow design flushes out sediments to reduce clogging. Use with ¼ in. tubing branching off a larger supply line, or attach directly into larger supply tubing to irrigate shrubs and trees in landscapes & plants in container pots and hanging baskets. Emitter is made of polyethylene and silicone treated with UV inhibitors. Drip irrigation systems are easy to customize, install, and operate. Pressure compensating emitters are designed to maintain a constant flow rate at varying inlet pressures and at each position along the length of tubing. Water is delivered directly to your plant’s root zone at a very slow application rate for optimal growth and overall health. Raindrip offers an emitter for every watering need. Raindrip is a leading manufacturer of drip and micro-irrigation solutions and the trusted brand of landscapers since 1972. Build, expand, or repair your system with our rigorously tested products designed to save you time and money.

When using irrigation drippers in a string of hanging baskets, it is important to be using pressure controlled drippers. Otherwise, the baskets at the end may not get enough water. These worked perfectly.

These are doing the job as expected. Economical, easy to install, and don't clog.

These are basic plastic passthrough drip emitters. I deployed 20 emitters a couple of weeks ago and have had no functional issues so far. The drip rate appears reliable, although I haven't yet tested the specific rate yet to determine accuracy. The only thing that I have to fix is the emitters closest to the pump continuing to drop water when the pump shuts off, which I expect is a function of back pressure in the line rather than the emitter, but still something to consider and adjust for in order to avoid overwatering.Recommended. This emitters are a cost effective way of getting controlled water flow where needed and help make the process of automating watering easy.

The bad: They break if you step on them or drop something heavy on one.The good: They are amazingly consistent compared with some other adapters I tried.I use the 1/2 gallon per hour adapters. I'm up to about 150. I use 30 PSI pressure regulators and plug the drippers directly in 1/2 inch lines. Then I use 1/4" tubing to deliver the water to the individual plants. This arrangement keeps the 1/4" tubing pressure at 0. I like the 1/2 gallon per hour because it lets me set the timer to a reasonable length of time (I still have my flower box timers set to 3m per 24h, which is too short to control.)These are operating in a near desert environment with temps at or above 100F, and many are in direct sunlight. They are holding up fine so far.

Installed 100 of these in our vertical garden wall. Was able to get rid of all the adjustable manifolds, adjustable emitters, and additional valves I added to the overcomplicated setup. Installed these in 1/2 tubing and all 100 are dripping at the same rate. SO much easier. I've learned my lesson the hard way that pressure compensating emitters are the only way to go. These are great! Seller was also great to work with.

Out of 11 I used yesterday, two are gushing out, one is putting too much water , and the remaining 8 are good. Not much to be proud of! The rest I guess I’ll find out.

A little more expensive than the cheapest drippers, but these work best without clogging.

The rate of flow is very inconsistent. I set up 188 of these on half gallon pots in a greenhouse. I just tested, and about 10 were spraying so hard that little water got into the pot -- it was hitting the far wall of the greenhouse 8+ feet away. And even the ones that weren't acting like little jet spray nozzles had inconsistent rates. Some were dripping a couple drips a second, some were a steady dribble (no drips), some were a stream. These were never exposed, stepped on, etc. They went from a storage bin directly into the greenhouse for installation.I did not damage them during installation, since I warmed the ends of the drip tubing in 150-degree water before pushing the drippers in to make them go in easily. My irrigation is regulated at 25psi, I've got an inline filter on the system, and I flushed all the main lines for 10 minutes before installing the drippers. Conditions are perfect. It is not reasonable to test each dripper for flow rate, so I think I need to throw out all 200 of this brand and install a more reliable brand. What a hassle!

The produce itself was great However 45$ was to much for one package of 50. The ad clearly states 3 pks of 50.

Excellent deal. Most stores charge $8 or $9 for just 10 drippers. Great buy for a larger irrigation project

Same quality as Big Box stores without the obscenely high price.
