It converts RCA (AV, composite, CVBS) signals into HDMI signals so you can watch your video on a modern TV with HDMI ports. The analog to digital conversion in this module employs 10 bits maximal 162MSPS sampling, black/white level expansion, color transition improvement, dynamic range expansion, blue stretch , auto-detect and auto-convert the composite signal to 1080p(60HZ) output. Making video come alive, delivering the sharpest, most realistic HD visuals available.
Widely Compatibility
1. Good for personal or family: Connect Roku, DVD, cable boxes, and PS3, Xbox 360, Blu-ray machines and so on.
2. Compatible with most RCA input devices.
Tips and Troubleshooting
Video signal transfer only, can't improve the video quality.
RCA to HDMI is NOT a bidirectional converter. It only transmits the signal from AV to HDMI.
Please remember to connect USB power cable before use this AV TO HDMI, a phone adapter(not included) can do the job.
May experience less than three second lag. Will not convert audio only. For converter to function properly, all cables must be connected and in use (yellow: video, white: left audio, and red: right audio).
Supported audio format: 2 channel analog audio, does not support 3D.
No software needed, just plug and play, done the connection within 1min.
If you connect to a Wii game console, please set the video resolution to 50Hz.

Works as intended; however, I kind of wish it was better at tweaking the display. In my case, I'm stuck with a stretched out image on modern widescreen, which may or may not be great depending on the game. I did try the switches on the device to see if they'd help, but not really much of an impact. Regardless, I thought it'd be a nice way to capture video to then display on my computer; otherwise, I think I'd settle with the composite inputs on my TVs. I had heard that composite's no longer in rotation on modern TVs, which is fine if you have one of these, I suppose.

I have an old Atari with RCA plugs and needed an HDMI converter. Works perfect. The only thing I’d add is at first I thought it didn’t work. Then I realized it needs a power source. They supplied the cable but not the plug. I just used one of the spare 2.4A usb plugs I have laying around everywhere and it worked fine.

So far so good. I got this to use with my super nintendo NES. It's easier to use for HDMI cable instead of trying to find the correct colors for the red white yellow, as the tv is on the wall. The box does need a power source, so I just used the cable that came with it and used it in the usb plug directly in the tv itself.
