Hooked this up to my 30 year old Denon dvd player and it worked as advertised. I used the s-video input and hooks the audio into stereo system. It’s not 4k quality video but you can watch all those old dvds now.

Sometimes its hard to write a review when everything worked exactly as described, We watched old VHC-S tapes on an HDMI TV and it worked perfectly and quality was excellent. Ive read other reviews to the contrary but our experience was great. Very satisified!

Like that product works to connect vcr with new TV with no RCA compatible input. Also works with camcorders with s-video output.Kit provides female to female couplers for right, left, and composite video extensions. However, doesn't provides coupler to extend s-video cable.

I bought this to connect an old S-VHS VCR to a new 4K LCD TV so I could watch some old tapes. It is easy to hook up, and the picture quality is pretty good, but it's the wrong shape and there is no way to change it.VHS tapes are expected to be played on a 4:3 format screen and modern TVs are 16:9. To show the old tapes properly the picture should be in 4:3 format with black bars to the left and right or the top and bottom cropped.I played with the settings on my TV to change the shape, but it was never quite right.

The converter works well to take older RCA connections and integrate them into HDMI format. Both video and audio signals are output to my new TV via HDMI input as hoped. It serves as a great bridge of technologies keeping my older player equipment functional and playing through newer TVs.

I specifically ordered this to output my SNES and my GameCube to my projector, now the unit DID include an adapter to convert the Male a/v cables into Female but the S-video adapter was not included. I’m sure if I had a device that specifically output in s-video it would work but I will have to settle for lame old yellow cable.
