I bought a few other cheaper converters with produced a hissing noise in my setup. This worked flawlessly and I wish they made a unit with more inputs for switching! Awesome and well made product.

The product comes without the HDMI cable or the RCA cables which are shown in the photos as well as a USB wall adapter which is required to power the unit, yet it costs over 3 times more than others that come with those. Don't waste your money.

I have many karaoke LD's being outdated by technology. I want a unit that can convert each analogy songs into digital MP4 and store them in a USB. This unit was bought by mistake but could do the job. It needs to go through several iterations. First, download a software into your laptop. Next, connect analogy source to the laptop PC through the convertor. Then record each song as it plays through the system. It resulting file is in my laptop but in a MPEG format. I used a free VLC software to convert MPEG to MP4. Then I can move the MP4 files in the laptop to a USB. It is something for a techie.I was actually thinking about buying a more expansive convertor, also by ClearClick. It could record directly to a USB without going through a laptop. It may even have better resolution. The conversion process seems to be easier. Then from the detail product description, I found out that each song/file was fixed to 2GB. It seems to be designed for converting movies. For karaoke, my converted MP4 song takes an average of 36MB. I can store 55 songs in 2GB. I decided to keep the convertor. It is about half the price of the more expansive convertor.

This composite to HDMI upscaler honestly surprised me. For it's affordability at $50, it delivers a clean picture for older hardware. I tested it on my VCR, NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis and many other retro games consoles and I will say that it looks great! Definitely recommend if you're looking for an affordable way to upscale!

I'm using this to connect an old VCR to my home theatre receiver. The receiver needs to have a HDMI input, not RCA inputs. This unit works well enough for that. In fact, it works so well that the tracking errors from within the VCR are showing up on the screen. I did test both the widescreen and letterbox settings on this unit and both work fine. I prefer older VHS tapes to be shown in their original letterbox format, but it's nice to have both settings as an option.
