My Chest freezer refused to run following a power outage, so I did a little nosing around and decided to try installing one of these devices. I figured I would risk $10 on this before I spent over $300 on a new freezer.The 3 in 1 unit was delivered quickly and the installation was easy. (Hint watch a couple of videos on the subject first!)After installing the start unit, I plugged the freezer back in, turned it on and voila! The freezer is running perfectly and has continued to run for several days.I would highly recommend this product.

i ordered a couple more to have on hand if needed. This starter saved my entire refrigerator/freezer full of food. I was able to buy one of these locally 2 years ago. at that time i ordered one of them from here on Amazon and wow! i was glad i did, our last appliance parts dealer closed here last year so we have no local appliance parts or service. The starter i had went out on Christmas day. Woke up to a puddle of water under the freezer door. I grabbed the spare starter that i had and 10 minutes later the frig was running.I dont know how long these are supposed to last but for the price if i replace it every 2 years its a bargain! The OE type starter is discontinued so i guess this is the only fix other than buying a whole new $1000+ refrig/freezer.

Easy to install and affordable. No extra noise on the compressor sounds like it’s working like before. Set power to unit after wiring it up and refrigerator started cooling right away.

Didn't have any luck with this hard start. I was an hvac contractor for many years and these were always handy to give compressor a boot. Oh well.. I'll hang on to them and maybe they will work elsewhere down the road

This works great super easy install super cheap I picked up a old deep freeze off the side of the road that didn't work installed this and it worked just fine
