My mom passed away and I among other thing I brought her lazy boy home with me. A few months later I started having problems with the reclining and the foot rest. I figured out I needed to replace this part and order this one. Went in with no problems, it was super easy to do and took me all of five minutes.

The teeth are much 'deeper' than the original LZboy.Holes are unthreaded BUT I threaded them using a readily available 1/4" x 20tpi tap after drilling the hole out to 7/32"; I took it slow, used a drop of oil to help.Note: LZ Boy will provide this part free of charge to the original, documented chair owner. We didn't want to wait or make a couple of trips to get the LZ Boy replacement.

We replaced the ratchet on an old recliner made in 1985 that is still in good shape. The new one was a perfect match and replacement was simple reusing the existing screws.

Once I got it attached the recliner started working like new, but there is not a lot of room in my recliner to work. Had the screws been identical to the original it would've been a snap but having to get a screwdriver inside the recliner to put in a wood screw required a bit of hand gymnastics.Once it was installed, however, the original issue was resolved.Keep in mind that you may have to peel back some upholstery to get at the screws for the bracket so you should also have a wood stapler on hand to reattach the upholstery once this is installed.

This was the exact match to my old one which had worn teeth. Took me about 15 minutes to replace the old one with the new one. I was able to re-use the old screws. One thing I need to add is that this new piece came with only 2 mounting bolts when it needed 3. So I'm glad I was able to use the old ones.

Was easy to install on lazy boy big man recliner Seems to be doing the job. I am so glad I gave it a try before getting a different recliner.

This is an exact match to the one in my Lazyboy. Only suggestion I have is do yourself a favor and have an impact driver to remove the existing screws, for me it was a T30 bit. These are self tapping screws, reuse them that’s why you need the impact driver. The screws that come with it will never last.

Same part as original other than the bolt holes weren't treaded. I wanted to use the original bolts form the old one so I just went ahead and taped the holes out.

Easy to change but the original pawl was threaded to use screws. The replacement came with bolts so was not able to use the original screws.
