Product overall is a great value for the money. Experienced multiple shipping delays leaving me without running water for 2 extra days, but that is no fault of the product or manufacturer. Product was well made, easy install, and had the same dimensions as my previous 15 year old control box!

I just replaced our old Franklin Electric well pump control box that rusted out after more than twenty years with this new one from Red Lion. The wires on the old box were photographed before removal and their placement was duplicated on this new box.I removed the plastic piece with the five screws labeled L1, L2, R, Y, B by prying apart the sides of the box slightly and then pulling it out. That made it much easier to insert the wires. After the wires were in place I bent the wires back down and reinserted the plastic piece with the screws. The wires were fairly heavy gauge so bending them was a bit difficult. It worked with no problems so far.The box I received is different than the one in the product photo but it's an exact match for the one I replaced.View my uploaded photo to see what i recieved.

Pricing is competitive, exact replacement for many well controls, had to return due to a defective relay in box, free return and replacement worked fine, likely just a fluke.

We had a long power failure, and were running the house using a generator. Then at some point, something must have caused the generator to generate a spike of power, perhaps when the fuel was low, and the capacitor of the Franklin box that's part of the water well system, got fried. I took the capacitor out, and connected a 9V battery to it and then looking using a multimeter to see how the voltage would drop. The capacitor didn't hold a charge at all, and thus it was broken.I couldn't find a replacement capacitor, and out of despair, after finding out that this Red Lion box has the same capacitor inside, I went for it. Turns out Red Lion is Franklin, and the lid that has the parts built on it, is completely compatible. I just moved that over and poof, the well water pump was back in business. And here I was worried that the well pump itself was busted. Good it's a 3 wire system where the control mechanism isn't part of the pump itself.
