READ BEFORE PURCHASING! I recently purchased this because it was on sale at a lower price. I need a heavy-duty reel that will keep up with daily use. The reel and the mount are heavy gauge steel which is great. No cheap plastic! The hose is 3/8" made of a hybrid soft flexible material. The issues I ran into are that the description is WRONG! It reads that this model: L815153HA (which is not listed in the main top description but listed down below the pictures and description). It indicates that it has 1/4" NPT fittings. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! The L815153 might have them, but not the L815153HA. The hose itself is 3/8" yes, and so are the ends! If you plan to connect this using the described 1/4" NPT, you will need adaptors to do this. Also, there was no indication that a hose was provided to connect the reel to your compressor. It does come with a connection hose. Bottom line, I am giving 5 stars based on price, construction, and quality. I just got it and set it up. I used it a couple of times. Time itself will see if it holds up to daily use. Even though the description is wrong, it seems to be a good product. I mounted mine to my compressor where my old one was. The mount is adjustable so you can set it up at different positions, enabling it to mount just about anywhere. Hope this helps.

I just received this item so we've yet to see how durable it is.Retractable mechanism works great. Hose is very flexible and does not leak at any of the fittings. The most crucial fitting is the one that swivels as the reel rotates.For everyone complaining about the fitting sizes. PLEASE learn about NPT before buying the product.As a general rule, 1/4" NPT fittings are about 1/4" LARGER in outside diameter when measuring the threaded part. So if you are measuring about 1/2", guess what? You have 1/4" NPT. For the guy who posted a picture measuring 5/8"? Absolutely love this product. No more tangled up air hose on the shop floor! I installed this in the ceiling of the garage. It has 4 snag rollers so you can pull and retract the hose in any direction in the shop. I noticed some of the other hose reels I reviewed only have 2.Its a bit heavy with the hose reeled on it so the best way to install it is to un-reel the hose which makes it considerably lighter and you can install with no problem. I did go buy some shorter lag screws than provided because they where way too long.Its a heavy duty product and I would highly recommend it.Unfortunately like others I had to go to Home Depot to get a 3/8 NPT fitting for the hose to fit my compressor.

As noted by others the description is WRONG The connector at the reel is 3/8 female npt and the host end is 3/8 npt male. So begin your adapter(s) hunt if you want to go 1/4 npt. That being said, that is pretty common with the language barrier of non- US manufacturing. And of course all that can change in an instant. The only other item of note is that mounting hole location is the devil's work! That being said I've used the reel once and it's solid, I have extended it to the furthest reaches of humanity and it works like a charm. That's one week is use, so we shall see.

Keep in mind that this used 3/8NPT fittings, not the usual 1/4NPT fittings. So far, as a pressure hose reel, it works great. No leaks.

I've had my air hose and reel installed for about a week and so far I like it very much. The mechanics are tight and sturdy and the hose is top-notch. The only problem as someone else stated the fittings were 3/8 not instead of 1/4 npt. This is not a huge issue as adapters are available. As I didn't have one on hand I called customer service to see if they would send me one. Let me tell you that these people are serious about customer satisfaction. The fella I talked to went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Way to go Reel Works, you get my business.

The construction of the real and frame is pretty sturdy. I wish the hose guide was better so the hose wouldn’t fall off the edge of the reel.

Dévidoir imposant et lourd. Matériaux à priori robuste.Dévidoir peur cher sous cette marque. C'est exactement le même qui est vendu sous d'autres marques au double de prix.Attention à l'installation. Mieux vaut prévoir un support avec des vis traversantes à fixer au mur et le dévidoir sur le support.A voir sur la durée pour la qualité du tuyau.Rien à redire, il est complet et fourni avec les raccords, tuyau et Téflon.Très bon rapport qualité prix

Good quality.Changed the air hose for a high pressure washer hose which also had a 3/8 connection. Works great.Also able to change the hose guide position.

Die Trommel macht Anstich einen ordentlichen Eindruck und funktioniert auch. Absolut minderwertig hingegen ist die Schlauchkupplung, nach 5x im Einsatz undicht und defekt!!
