Installed in on my 1970s era fishing boat trailer. Its different using a strap instead of a rope. Works good enough.

Local shop had the bare winch but didn't have the correct length of strap available. It was 25% cheaper than local shop and the strap comes with it installed

Replacement for 20 year old one. If ski last as long as this one I’ll buy another.

Solid construction, looks like it will last a long time. I like the fact that it only ratchets one way instead of both. When you flip the switch and disengage the ratchet, it lets go. Exactly what I wanted for the front of my sailboat trailer.
