I've always had a problem with ice getting stuck coming out of the outside dispenser, but I had always thought it was because of the slope inside.After seeing a few videos, I thought I'd give this a shot, it didn't seem to make sense, but a lot of fixes don't. After replacing my old unit this worked perfect. Now the door closes properly, and gives a nice snap a few seconds after to deactivate the switch--so you know it's properly closed. I have no idea how many years it didn't work, it's been that long since I heard that snap!

If your fridge always has frost and ice jamming up the chute, you may need this part. It closes a the door to the chute after dispersing ice. This keeps melting refreezing and frost from happening. Saves money too as freezer will run less. See youtube for ez instructions on your model.

Awesome! The ice machine kept clogging up because the flap wouldn’t shut all the way. Warm air was going up the ice chute and causing constant freeze-ups. I troubleshooted and found it was likely the solenoid. I watched a few YouTube videos and put this bad boy in… works just like new! Awesome product.
