  • Why It's Right For You: Rotates out of the way of snow plows and careless drivers. Minimizes damage caused by weather and vandalism. Automatically returns the mailbox to the desired road centered position.
  • Safety: Safety for the elderly, children, and you. Retrieve mail without entering the roadway. No need to climb over sloppy or icy and slick snow ridge. Mailbox safely swings out of the way if impacted by bicyclist or vehicle traffic. Safety and ease of mowing or trimming; simply rotate mailbox out of your way. Mailbox post "cement free" installation yields increased safety for vehicle drivers and occupants.
  • High Quality: Strong, aluminized steel construction provides durability and years of rust free care.Baked powder coat painted finish for years of appearance protection.
  • Easy Installation: Quick and easy installation, generally without digging and no shovel or posthole digger required. Only two moving parts assure long lasting trouble free use. Attractive and functional design.

The Return-to-Center Mailbox Post System will "get out of the way!" When the mailbox post assembly is impacted by snow, vandals or other forces, it rotates in either direction out of the way. It will then "Return-to-Center" and automatically find its way to the desired road position. It can be installed in 30-minutes or less generally without digging and no concrete. Auger-ably* the best mailbox post system available anywhere and at any price! (*auger assisted installation). Purchase includes the following: Complete Return-to-Center Mailbox Post System (black post) - Universal Mounting Bracket - adjustable to fit most styles and sizes of mailboxes (mailbox sold separately) - Auger and auger rod for quick and easy installation - Decorative round post top on a 30-inch rotating mounting arm. Optional Ground Post Extension: The standard Return-to-Center mailbox post system comes with a 24-inch Ground Post Extension which will place the finished height between 42 and 46 inches to the bottom of mailbox when installed on ground level with the roadbed. If additional length is needed because the ground post must be installed in a ditch or elevation significantly (approx. 6-10 inches or more) lower than the roadbed, we offer an optional 30-inch Ground Post Extension and/or a 36-inch optional Ground Post Extension. See diagram in images to determine whether an extension is necessary. (METAL mailbox required)

Although a little costly, so far it is well worth it. Snow plow had previously destroyed 2 mailboxes by its hurling snow. This setup has handled it well so far. Due to a slope from a drainage ditch need to get the longer one. So make sure you measure in order to purchase the correct size. Only periodic issue is sometimes does not return back to position. I can deal with that since there was no harm to the mailbox.

Ordered the 30” version to provide more flexibility given uneven terrain. Unfortunately, the instructions 1) *assume* you have the 24” version for measuring how deep to go (I didn’t think of this until too late) l, and 2) don’t include actual measurements of each pipe and the over-sleeve portion you shouldn’t count. It’s difficult to measure things yourself since the pipe sleeves have gradients (can’t tell where they start and stop with confidence) and the angles of the mailbox bracket aren’t square to the post. To compensate, you need to do a lot of measuring, double-, and triple-checking. After simulating fit and checking so many times - I was still 3” too high after I trusted those measurements enough to attach the middle extension pole. Unfortunately, it seems very, very difficult to remove the middle extension pole once attached. So I have a mailbox that’s too high.
