Used this to remove and add pistol sights. Taking sights out is one thing, replacing is another. You have to be careful and remove enough material on the sight so you can tamp it back into the pistol slide dovetail without hammering too violently. I did sights on three pistols. Did good except back sight on a Browning clone. I didn'nt take enough material off the sight and hammered it in too tight, damaging the sight in the process. Go easy and take your time!

Punches and drifts are very Light Duty, as is the hammer. Good for small hobby work on RC items and small parts.

Home depot has a similar item without the hammer for $91. I saved a ton of money buying this item instead. I cannot leave a review for durability since I just got it and used it 2x. shipping was really fast, highly recommended.

This is a nice little kit but the punches get damaged VERY easily, especially the brass and plastic ones. If you have a stubborn situation where you can’t get a dovetail mount off on a front or rear sight then you need a hammer with a bit more weight behind it. This kit is for non-stubborn easier situations. Overall a nice little kit for the price. I do recommend and hopefully it lasts many years to come.

Estuve trabajando un rato y al momento de desmontar una pieza y tratar de quitar un perno me di cuenta que no son los suficientes largos para lograr que salga de su sitio con lo cual tuve que utilizar un clavo sin punta para terminar de sacarlo. Con 2 cm más recorriendo el bisel del punzón de arreglaria el problema.

Has everything needed to take apart pins and clips for guns but the length of the punches are BARELY long enough. One wrong move and you can be into the tapered part of the punch and can easily damage the body of whatever your taking the pin or clip out from.
