I had my doubts about this drum throne cause it was such a good deal, but it is very durable and I am so happy I got it! I had been looking for a replacement throne cause the one that came with my kit was SUPER wobbly at the top. After doing some research I decided to try this one due it using a spin-lock kind of shaft (if that makes sense). When I first set it up I incorrectly set the locking nut up under the cushion, but later figured out that it’s supposed to meet the base end of the shaft to prevent the seat from wobbling and spinning. Idk if I’ve explained this correctly, I’m not sure if I’m using the right terms. But yeah, it’s been a solid throne and I no longer deal with a wobbly unstable seat! I’ve seen some complain about the cushion being “too stiff” but I’ve found that it just needs to be broken in. Overall, I’m very pleased with this throne - it’s high quality for a low price!

I’ve been playing drums professionally for 20 years, ran a small custom drum shop (built about 30 kits) for 5-6 years and worked in drum retail for about 5 years. Point being, I know gear and for the price, this is an excellent throne.I needed an extra throne to leave at home with my practice kit. The throne I gig with is a round Pork Pie that I’ve had forever. Is it comfier than this throne? Of course it is, but the Pork Pie throne also cost $200. The base of this throne is just about, if not as sturdy as my Pork Pie.If you’re looking for a throne to take on the road and play intense, 2-3 hour sets on every night, you should definitely splurge for a more expensive option. For what I need this for and what most folks will need it for though, this throne is a steal!

I have been playing drums for 64 years and I have had thrones last for 25 years. This throne lasted 20 months. A metal sleeve sheared and made the throne unusable. When I contacted the seller all they could give me was 40.00 for a 100.00 throne. I would not reccomend this product.

We bought this stool for our sons birthday to go with the drum set we got at Christmas. He said it's a great comfort stool and has easy movement to play. The sturdiness was rated a 3 because when sitting down it falls in slightly until it "locks" into place, creating an unsteady feeling. Once situated though the stool is great and serves it's purpose.

I bought for me and my 6 year old son. It goes low enough for him to reach the pedals and is very comfortable. Very solid as well.

I wanted a small drum throne for my electronic kit instead of stealing the Orange County Drum and Percussion throne I use on my acoustic set. Unfortunately, this thing is incredibly uncomfortable, very stiff, and not very stable. The base itself is fine, but the post that fits into the seat does not hold tightly, even with the screw cranked. The seat starts to wobble almost immediately. I'm afraid this was a waste of money. I'll keep it as a backup, but I'll spend the extra $ on another OC throne this time.

I just bought it and I am 100% satisfied with it. A traditional throne, not motorcycle type, not fancy foam in it, just a really good traditional one. It goes from very to very high, which is important to me since I sit pretty high: I appreciate that thae height is modified by turning it in piano style, so I can do it in a second during a gig, and it has a true solid memory lock, not a cheap one. Price is also pretty good.

Purchased this to go along with an electronic drum set. Many of the other thrones looked less sturdy. This looked like the one I had 20 years ago. When it arrived the box was pretty banged up, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the throne in perfect shape. The feet are broad and stable and the legs have two strong pieces of metal and the seat post is a solid piece of metal. All of the thumb screws are also robust. A bit more expensive than the cheaper thrones, but not as expensive as the name-brand thrones.
