I bought this after watching America’s Test Kitchen/Cooks Country recommended it. Deveining shrimp is not a favorite task so this appealed to me. And it works! Easy to use and effective. I highly recommend this kitchen tool whether you’re cleaning six shrimp or three dozen shrimp.

Recommended. Good for shelling and deveining LARGE shrimp. Negative reviews generally misuse the product. The scissors are for deveining shrimp. They, despite the poor translation used in the maker's!!! product description, are NOT for crabs or lobster shells.

Every once in a while a product comes along that so exceeds expectations I want to give it more than a five, tell all my friends about it, and make people buy it. This is one of those products. 18 years ago we moved to Louisiana, home of some of the best shrimp anywhere. However, we get it head and shell on. For 18 years I've been trying gadgets and gizmos to make peeling shrimp easier.None really worked well. Then I was watching America's test kitchen and they recommended these. I was skeptical, but for less than a cheap dinner out I decided to give them a try. Wow! I mean wow! they cut through the back of the shell, the curve fits perfectly, and they just slice into the back of the shrimp, so I can easy take out the black vein line when I pinch off the tail.It's really unbelievable how fast and easy this made cleaning and deveining the shrimp was using these scissors. Great great product
