Worked well for me, I was replacing an old one that snapped. I am assuming that they get brittle after awhile, but does what it is suppose to, fits as it should, it is easy to install

Nice cable cushion…I do a lot of offroad work and recovery. I needed a new cushion for my winch cable. You can see in my photo that the cushion clamps on right behind the cable termination crimp. I call it a cushion, because it will, in no way, stop the winch. My only gripe is that the hardware is a bit small and it needs washers on both sides of the nut/bolt. Other than that, it’s a nice piece and worth the money.I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give this cushion my Big-Foot “Stomp†of approval and 4 stars!

The hook on the winch and the UTV was left flopping from the factory. It had the roller guides, but the hook was in a weird bind if you just winched it up close. I’d wrap it around the bar and hook it over itself to secure it, but then the paint gets scratched. This little thing fixes it all and works like a charm! Pulls the hook up tight to the rollers. This keeps the cable aligned on the spool too by keeping the cable taut. Cable wrapped over itself frays and kinks and goes bad quickly so keeping it spooled up nice makes it last…and that little bit of tension keeps it right. The hole in the middle is a bit big for my cable. It won’t even clamp tight over the crimp portion, but it still pulls up and I just crammed a stick up the back side of the hole and broke it off so it stays put now! It’s hard rubber and comes with the Allen key. I added a bit of thread locker liquid as there’s no lock washers and it will vibrate constantly. Goes on quick and protects your higher dollar parts down the line for next to nothing. Super value…and it looks neat too!!!

When I ordered this I thought is was supposed to fit tightly on the cable. when i opened it i thought Did I order the wrong thing? Then I read up and realized it is supposed to slide on the cable, which makes more sense because it would be in the way if it didn't.It installed very easily with the included allen wrench.It is nice that multiple colors are available, if your into that sort of thing, I got blackThe material is very firm and has a glossy appearance but will compress some which is what you want to get the winch cable snug without tearing up the fair lead.Price is about right too.they should really include one of these with any winch purchase.
