I've never written an Amazon review before now, but these pants seriously surprised me. I've been burned plenty of times ordering renn faire pieces online, so granted I wasn't expecting much, but I might just start wearing these everywhere, or at least at home. They're super comfy! They arrived pretty wrinkled, and I haven't tried getting the wrinkles out yet, so we'll see how that goes, but a lot of them have come out just from me wearing them.I got the XXL because it was the largest size and I figured I'd try it even though the size chart said it would be too small around the waist. Luckily, they stretch! I'd definitely go up a size if they started carrying 3XL, to get rid of that unflattering waistband scrunch, but they do fit around my 46" waist (I measured the waistband while it was on, and it came to around 45"-46"), and it doesn't even feel uncomfortably tight like I expected. They feel a little tighter when I sit down, but ngl my regular jeans feel tighter than these. They probably wouldn't stretch much more than that without being uncomfortable, and body shape will always be a factor, but it's such a relief to find something useable as a fat person who likes costume/cosplay, without having to make it myself. Plus, they're loose enough around the crotch that you can't even tell they're a bit small unless you're looking at my stomach/waistband, which should be covered in my costume.P.S. my back camera is busted, so please appreciate the lengths I went to to get photos lol. You can see how it's too tight at the waistband when I lift my shirt, but looks normal (and feels fine) when the shirt is down. And yes, they're already covered in cat hair. Listen, I got 3 affectionate kitties, there's nothing I can do. Anyway, I'm literally about to go buy more pants from this shop right now because they're so nice to wear.

Overall, these are super comfortable and id wear these casually outside of a costume. The size is perfect for what i needed, and the length is also great (i'm 5'4, 150lbs and i got a large) since i was going for a more baggy look. My only issues are 1.) The color is a little more muted than the picture, which i dont mind, and 2.) The buttons are EXTREMELY flimsy. these pants fit me very loosely, and within the first few minutes one of the buttons fell off. The button itself is fine, and this is an easily fixed problem, but its definitely something to keep in mind.

Surprisingly comfortable and better quality than I was expecting - especially for reasonably priced costume pants.

These are ok for costume pants. They are made of thick material, with sturdy stitching. They are quite heavy and would be very hot to wear in the summer months. Appearance: These look all right, but not flattering. They are very tight around the waist and ankles, but very loose everywhere else. These would only look good on someone who is trim. For someone with a fuller, larger figure, it makes them look fluffy and poofy in all the wrong places. Someone with muscular calves would also likely find these uncomfortable, because of how tight the bottoms of the pants are. The feel: These are rather rough and scratchy in the material. I didn’t like the feel of them. How they fit: Theses are quite tight around the waist, especially for someone who is bigger around the middle. I ordered my normal size and they were mildly uncomfortable around the waist, even though they fit. The waist is elastic, so it does stretch somewhat, but it’s not very stretchy. You might get a couple of extra inches of stretch. There is no drawstring, in case the waist ends up being too big. The pants also are quite tight around the ankles (or around the calf). These aren’t very long, so a taller person would be essentially wearing capri pants that squeeze your calf like crazy. Utility: These come with 2 pockets, in the front. The pockets are somewhat deep, but the opening of the pocket is angled down, so it’s more likely that stuff would fall out of them. There are no back pockets. The front does unbutton, but not easily. I am also afraid the buttons will fall off if they are used too often. I wish the buttons were just a façade, with a zipper underneath. What I don’t like: One of the decorative buttons on the front was loose when it arrived. The stitching on the buttons is not strong, and you will likely lose a button (or more!) quickly. Perhaps the worst thing is that there are NO BELT LOOPS. Everyone I know wants to wear a belt with this type of costume, for the look, or to hold a belt pouch. Conclusion: These are ok, but not my favorite. The fabric is quite scratchy, and is the type that tends to show sweat stains. These are also heavy enough to be quite warm. The style and cut would not be flattering on a larger person, and they aren’t long enough for a taller person.
