I have a 4 year old golden doodle with a very thick, medium length coat. She always gets tangled and thick mats, especially on her bottom and hind legs. I purchased another “top rated†brand a few weeks ago and was so disappointed! It just pulled her fur. So I was hesitant to try another one. I noticed that in the description this one said it had sharp blades and reviews seemed to confirm that, so I thought I’d give it a try. I am so happy I did! This thing is AMAZING and super easy to use! My dog doesn’t like to be brushed, but she’s let me use this on her for about half hour at a time. I go over each section a few times and I cannot believe the PILES of old fur that comes out! The mats and tangles come out pretty easily without hurting her or ripping her fur out! I’m so thankful we found this! I was unsure which to purchase but decided on the one with 13 blades. It works perfectly for her thick hair! Highly recommend this product! Safe and easy to use! Wish I would’ve taken pics of the piles of fur that came out. I probably filled an entire grocery bag from just doing a 1/4 of her body so far.

this little tool worked and solved a problem; my mini-aussie hated the feel of furminator, was hard to brush and always too hot, the rake removed his thick undercoat and did it well; -- the only thing I did wrong was rake the wavy "ruff" between his shoulder blades and I should not have, it takes wavy hair out with the undercoat, and he looked scruffy on top but WOW did the rest of him look better; plus he is cooler; next time I'll leave the white chest hair alone too siince it is so pretty fluffy;his coat is so much thinner, yet he doesn't shiver outside, in fact he stays outside when we have a fire in the fireplace because he hates the crackling; he lays between us on the love seat without panting or overheating, love that;fur did not fly around the room when I used the rake; so easy to clean it out of the tool;sometimes I used a pin brush at the same time in other hand between strokes with the rake just to straighten out long fur and pick up loose hair;it was so much gentler that the furminator I could hardly believe it; in 40 minutes I had stripped, for the very first time, his undercoat -- he was not matted, because I always brush him while I'm shampooing him, but he sure was fluffy and thick -- now he isn 't so wide looking which is much better, plus it helped tame the fluffy butt that Australian Shepherds get which I can't standTHIS is a very worthwhile too, it was recommended to me by my cousin who grooms, in this brand. Glad I tried it.

I have been searching for years to find a way to de-shed our almost 4 year old Golden Retriever who sheds quite a bit. I’ve tried multiple different brushes, regular undercoat rakes, furme vacuum, rainbow vacuum animal attachment.. you name it, I’ve probably tried it. My day was made when this came in the mail and I tried it out for the first time.. WOW! I’m blown away at how amazing this tool is at de-shedding. These pictures are of the hair that had been removed in about 10 minutes of brushing and I have faithfully been brushing everyday with other brushes (which did nothing at all compared to this). SO excited to finally be able to keep our dog hair shedding at a minimal! Thank you for such a great product! My Golden throughly enjoyed this brush! :)

Used this sucker on my Pembroke Welsh Corgi and German Shepard, Blue Heeler mix and, all I have to say is WOW. I was using a Furminator de-shed brush before purchasing this rake and there is NO comparison. This rake is SO much more gentle on their skin than the Furminator, and removes so much more hair because I'm not constantly worried about damaging their skin when I rake out their coats. I just gently pull the brush over their coats with no downward pressure, and the rake really does all of the work. I use it during bathtime, after conditioning, on their wet coats, and again after they've dried. I should start a felting hobby with all the undercoat this baby gets out. Money well spent!

The raking blade is 1 1/2 inches wide and very small around. I think it will work well if my cat will co-operate.If she sees me pick it up, she runs under the bed! We're working on it. I'll update my review when I can use it on her

I was in the fence of whether to buy this deshedding rake or the the Marz brand, so I bought both of them with the intention to return one I liked less.This is definitely better than the Marz, as the handle is grippy, comfortable, and waterproof (for baths).I have a husky that sheds seasonally and my oh my she sheds like there is no tomorrow. The 20 blade is absolutely perfect for short haired huskies.Great product that works extremely well, is comfortable and half the price of Marz brand.

This brush worked very well on my Siberian husky's coat and I think it will be especially helpful during shedding time in keeping her undercoat un-matted. As someone else mentioned, it looks kind of severe at first glance but it doesn't hurt her at all; it just reaches the the undercoat and gently removes the excess fur. She finds it very comfortable. I use a slicker brush for everyday grooming and this brush will definitely help keep her undercoat under control.

Bought this to keep our border terriers coat under control. She gets very woolly in between hand stripping and this does a great job of preventing her coat becoming too unruly. She was being stripped three times a year and I think we can now get that down to two. Prompt service and delivery, good job Amazon!
