I bought these to make a stand to hold 2 bikes with the front wheels removed. They are perfect for that, or as advertised would be perfect for making a truck-bed rack or a roof rack. They are quality machined aluminum and I think they will last me as long as I am able to keep riding a bike. As some others have noted, there are no instructions, but if you are used to taking your front wheel on and off your bike, you will quickly know how to put the right adapter (they look like thick washers) onto the quick-release shaft along with the springs. My hybrid bike has hubs that are like those on a road-bike, so I knew which adapter to grab. I have never removed the wheel from a Mountain Bike, but I assume the hubs are a larger diameter, so you would use the larger adapters. The mounting hardware included was high quality too. In my case I used the counter-sunk wood screws to mount the brackets on a 2x4 wide enough for 2 bikes. It also came with bolts and locking nuts in case you were mounting them to a roof rack or some other tube.

Easy to install. Installed it on my DIY Hitch Basket Cargo Box. Now I’m able to bring my stuff and my Bikes. Stays on very well. Keeps my bikes secured. Material is good quality. Great price. It’s a bargain really. Name brand bike racks cost a lot of money.

Mine came with 1.5 pairs of 12x100mm thru axle adapters, and an extra 15mm adapter instead. Fine for now since I'm not traveling with 2 12mm thru axle bikes, but I would like 2 complete sets as intended. Also, the two velcro straps that come with it are super short and I don't think I'll be able to use them for anything.Despite those issues, it's a pretty nice kit for the money. Not sure if I'd trust it outside my vehicle, but plenty fine for mounting on the inside of my SUV.
