First off, I am a ryobi fan but I will look at this as unbiased as I can. The only thing I will say that is biased is that if you already have the ryobi battery universe around you then this is an actual no brainer. Beyond that, this heats up really quickly, ready to start using a couple minutes after you turn it on. There is no cord which means pretty much everything to me. There is no time out or anything so you either turn it off or it runs until the battery dies which is about 20-30 minutes of heavy use. These use the big full sized glue sticks which is also amazing, means one squeeze of the trigger gets out a lot of glue. One kinda let down is you have to pull the trigger every time you want glue to come out, its not just one pull and stops when you let go.Long story short, this is an awesome glue gun, heck this is an awesome tool in general.

Purchased this for a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle headliner. But since I purchased this tool, I have used it for installing 4 marker lights on my 2003 Ford F350 dually wide rear fenders and the glue stays a little flexible and water proof so thus far, those lights have been in and working for almost 2 months. What I really like about this glue gun is that I do NOT need power cords and nonsense to drag around, and my Lithium Ion Batteries are able to hold a 100% charge and will last for the glue gun for days on end without needing a recharge. The battery makes the gun a little heavier but that does not bother me, I am used to the cordless drill and other things which are way heavier than the glue gun weight. What I also need to mention, is a lot of glue guns seem to leak glue out after you are done pulling the trigger, this one did NOT leak which surprised me. I kept putting it down on the battery with a rag or cardboard under it to catch any dribble and there was none. Maybe with a lot more use, perhaps it will dribble but so far, nothing. The battery weight comes in handy for putting the gun down and keeps it upright and not able to fall over unless you bump into it or something. I am very happy with this gun and for the $ it is a great addition to all my Ryobi tools I have already and did not need to purchase this with batteries and chargers since I already have them. The gun got hot in about 2-3 minutes and has a power switch even though I remove the battery when not in use. The trigger is nice and big, comfy in your hand and does not require much effort to pull the trigger, and when you let go, the glue stops, does not ooze out when you don't want it to. That means you have no messes to clean up getting too much glue discharged. Tip unscrews easily and that makes cleaning up the gun very simple to do. It fits in a small drawer in my tool box, it is not overly large, and holds the standard glue sticks of .44 .45 sizes and you can use 4 to 16 inch long glue sticks. 5 stars, I like the perks of not having a cord to drag around using it in the automotive realm. I like that it does not dribble glue when the trigger is not pulled, its small and compact enough to fit in a small toolbox drawer and not needed in one of the deeper ones. Does not come with a case but for me that is fine. I know the batteries will last more than a week using this a few hours per day. Does not draw much power to heat up. 5 Stars from me for this purchase, and glad you get a great bang for your $buck with this one! I thought the idea of a battery powered hot glue gun was stupid. Why not just plug the silly thing in and not have to worry about batteries, battery life, mediocre performance, etc.?Well, after reading a couple of persuasive reviews, I took a chance. I'm glad I did, because this thing is way more useful than I would have thought.I converted to the Ryobi One+ platform a few years ago. The batteries are cheap and available at Home Depot, and people practically give the tools away at garage sales. They're not Milwaukee quality, but I'm a home-gamer now and no longer need a top of the line cordless tool platform. I have a 6-port charger so I always have batteries ready to go.I find myself using hot glue for all sorts of little things:-Need to hold a couple of pieces of wood together in a tricky layout while you reach for the nail gun? Hot glue.-Want to use the zillion 1/8" pegboard hooks you've bought over the years in 1/4†pegboard and keep them from rattling? Hot glue.-Want to keep power supply capacitors from ripping themselves out of their traces in the event of a hard bump? Hot glue.The gun heats up reasonably quickly and works just as well as a corded model. I haven't kept an eye on battery life, but with the larger Ryobi batteries I've never run out. Plus, it's really convenient to not have to run an extension cord out to whatever you're working on.

Great product - designed great (balanced to stand and stay up), light and easy to use. AMAZING run time on even smallest battery. Only down sides - on has no temp control so u manually need to turn off and run on reserve heat till turning on again, and the price a bit pricy but given the build quality it’s well worth it , especially if u already have ryobi tools and batteries so u r already in their eco systemMoney saving tip - if u do not have their tools and buying this buy the cheapest one+ battery even used on eBay since this thing runs on very low power so even a “tired†battery will give u decent run time between charges

This glue gun works great. It heats pretty quickly for a battery operated tool. Much easier and more convenient then having a cord in the way. The battery lasted me about 4 hours of continuous use, using a 6ah battery, that is pretty impressive. If I was to complain about anything, I would say it would be nice to have a temperature control on the tool. I recommend this tool.

Materiales Excelentes, muy bien empaquetada cuando te llega, si usas la baterÃa regular normal (No incluida en este paquete) te dura al rededor de 4 horas usándola seguido, calienta de fria a cuando ya vas a usarla en casi 2 minutos una ves llegando a su temperatura ideal puedes fundir la barra de silicón sin parar y la funde perfectamente bien sin problema alguno sin esperar sin pausas realmente excelente pistola de silicon usa barras de silicon gruesas que puedes conseguir en cualquier papelerÃa o tienda de mayoreo por kilos una ves usandola por tiempo se debe de fundir 1 la barra con el switch apagado hasta que se enfrié o deje de fundir para que alagues la viuda de la misma pistola de silicón recomendada

The glue gun is awesome because it’s cordless. Stands on its own. That is a big plus for me. It can do a lot of gluing before having to charge it back up!! I would definitely recommend!!
