No worries about poking your eye out. This was a good value in the glasses are well-made for short term use. We had a big event at our local congregation that required safety glasses be worn by everyone, and this was a perfect fit for that need.

When you get dark ones as a landscaper they can make hard to see in low light times but these I can see well in early morning or late evening with a little shade from sun in high points of day

I got these for day trips on a motorcycle. The ansi rating is enough that, in my state, you don't need a face shield. (You need some protection, either a face shield/visor or ansi rated glasses with this rating or higher.)They're comfortable and fit well. Nice and tight but not too tight. I have an average man's medium-large sized head, lol. The hinges seem pretty firm.They came in a plan cardboard box but that box was well packed in the shipping box.They do have 'ansi z78.1' stamped on the inside frame. Of course, part of me wonders if they actually are ansi strong. No way to test them properly, but just for fun I took a pair and banged a couple times with a hammer, lol. Straight on the eye part. Glasses were folded up and I gave them a couple medium force whacks. They held up just fine. They scratched a little bit, but of course that's expected, they just got hit with a hammer. So- unscientific test, but it's something.So, given that these are meant to be disposable, I think they're just fine basic protection should you need something along those lines.(Four stars because they seem nice and everything's fine but they don't necessary 'wow' me, because of lingering doubts about actually being ansi, which I have no proof of, and because of the cardboard packaging which potentially could get damaged in transit if it's roughed up.It probably should be a 4.5 review, overall).

These are good inexpensive safety glasses, and sunglasses. They cut glare and are not too dark. You might need to scrape off sharp plastic edges from the nose pieces. This just takes a second, no big deal.
