I am a beginner and I started soldering as a hobby. This unit has been great for me. It has all the features you need. It is easy to use and works well. So far I've just used it for practicing. I recommend this for beginners, to save from buying separate machines.

Hot air did not get hot enough to melt solder, the company helped me out.The soldering iron and filter are great though.

I like this multi-purpose soldering and hot air gun solution. It’s very cool that everything is combined in one single item. It appears to be well made - solid metal components on the digital soldering station/hot air controller box that are strong and constructed very well. I can see this soldering station/hot air controller last for a long time as it’s built super sturdy. I really like that it features dual digital readouts so you can see the exact temperature for your soldering iron, see the hot air fan airflow setting, and control the on/off for LED light used for illumination. Speaking of the light, it’s very cool. It’s built within the smoke absorber funnel so as you’re using the smoke absorber over your area of work you can also illuminate that same area while working on it. Very unique and interesting setup. The hot air blower will reach up to 842 degrees Fahrenheit so that should be plenty for most electronic projects. I appreciate the safety features such as when you are finished with the hot air blower it will immediately begin to cool down after you place it on the stand. Similar goes with the soldering iron - it will automatically sleep after three minutes of not using it. The soldering iron will heat up to maximum temperature within six seconds of turning it on. This integrated soldering/hot air solution is very good, especially for an electronics hobbyist who doesn’t have all of their main tools yet. Also, it would be a great option to have as a backup solution should your main soldering or hot air systems go down. Will I give up my Hakko soldering iron? No, because it’s cream of the crop, but this is truly a great and economical solution for this set because you get so much for it in one package. This is definitely a very good set and if you need an all-in-one integrated soldering, hot air, smoke absorber/led light, then this is certainly a very good option.

This has a lot of really nice features. First, the exhaust fan to keep the soldering fumes away is really nice. You can easily adjust the speed of the fan to the needs of the project. Having the lights in the fume hood is really handy. This keeps the light and fume collector right where you need them. The ability to adjust the temperature of the heat gun is really convenient. That paired with the various nozzles to direct the heat where you need them is a really great idea. The soldering iron works as well as any I have used. The silicone holder is neat and helps avoid hot areas you can accidentally touch when working.

This device combines a soldering iron, hot air gun, and smoke absorber, all illuminated by an LED light. It’s a great combination! The integrated smoke absorber easily clears the air, allowing me to work without any irritation from smoke or fumes. I have mild asthma, and in the past, fumes really limited how much time I could spend. The tool heats up to the desired temperature almost instantly. My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a sponge holder alongside the brass cleaner, for those of us who prefer that method for tip cleaning. Despite this minor point, the station offers excellent value. It's reliable, easy to set up, and use, making it a recommended choice for anyone into DIY or needing a dependable soldering solution.

Overall, this station works well. The available temperature ranges will accommodate almost any soldering or rework I might encounter. There are two negative issues that keep me from rating this as a 5 star item. The first is I am not all a fan of the "automatic" shut off of the hot air system. Some may like this convenience, but I prefer an actual button or switch so I know it is really OFF.The 2nd item is rework station lacks a solder removal tool such as a temperature-controlled solder sucker. One would expect a "rework" tool to have it available.

The heat gun has a magnetic switch in the holder which is nice, the iron heats up nicely and feels comfortable in my hands. The controls are pretty easy to adjust for heat settings on both the iron and heat gun. The display is nicely lit up so you can easily see the settings. The settings have Celsius or Fahrenheit settings to switch between. There is a nice power switch on the back. The one thing I don't like is the smoke extractor. The rubber boot is nice, but it is too heavy for the expandable tubing. It has a really hard time holding it up when expanded. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.
