I purchased this primarily for a multi-state drive/move and didn't have room for the bike in the trailer. So it ended up on the back of my car. I have a women's bike so it doesn't have a bar that goes straight across, so for 9 hours it sat cock-eyed. I was worried about it falling off a few times but it was pretty sturdy. I had to adjust it about 2 or 3 times during the drive because the weight distribution made the handle bars/front of the bike scoot away from the car. I would be much less concerned driving shorter distances.

Great rack and it doesn’t cover up my license plate. I would be nervous to drive on the highway with it as it doesn’t seem super sturdy, but for short distances, it does the job.

The Bike Rack itself is really well made and mounts fairly easily (once you figure out the instructions) it is one of the very few bike racks that will fit an Audi SQ5. After the first installation it is pretty easy to take on and off. Bike mounting on the rack is easy.The instructions lack detail and there could be more pictures

Note: Got this from Amazon Warehouse so the deal was smokin good.I have a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and since I traded in my Crown Vic for this thing I lost anything that could lug a mountain bike around. I did a lot of research and the Saris models were recommended by other coupe owners. I looked at the difference between the Boned and Guardian and decided that for the price the Guardian would be a winner.Slides up on my trunk no problem. Felt sturdy when I got all the straps in place as well. I’m only using it for one bike as well. But it’s cool I have the option to bring a friends bike. The straps look okay. Wouldn’t mind thicker ones or maybe I’ll get a second set just in case. But outside of that I’m happy with it.Overall this looks like a good match for my 2 Door Coupe. Really happy with it.

Was looking for a rack to fit my Prius. It was said to fit but was even close straps were to short and wouldn't stay hooked when I barley got them in place

I tried 5 different products, and this one was the cheapest and worked the best. It actually held the bikes in place and no movement. I was shocked. The more expensive Saris (did not work at all) with my car.I would recommend this for ease, convenience and quick assembly.

Poor qaulty. Not safe. Doesn't fully and safely secure bike(s) to rack and therefore also makes it over priced. It has a tiny piece of plastic at end of rack where the bikes are placed and can easily (over time) slip off. Not a long term bike rack... Looks like it will only last one or two seasons. Road conditions, speed of travel and weather etc... I actually can't beileive this product passed safety protocols. Search for something better.
