It was a bit thin and somewhat cheaply made. It fit and works fine, but I don't know how it will hold up.

Spring loaded flap stays shut. I draped a black cloth over the inside of the door flap to keep anyone from raising the flap to see in. I attached it with Velcro. The cloth easily allows the mail to be pushed through the mail slot.

I had purchase this less than a year ago and its turning green. I ordered the oil rubbed bronze , i will call to see if this is under any warranty

Made fairly well and seems a bit overpriced, but easy to install and works well. Not very heavy duty.

It’s a good product, but I can’t use it because it doesn’t fit as stated. I bought it to replace an old, brass mail slot. The hike dimensions are the same, however, I won’t be able to use it because when opening it, the cover slides back into the slot and hits the wall above the hole. If you’re buying this product, make sure the hole is about 1/2 an inch taller than the actual slot on the back plate.

For the price and given the application this was a very good product. The directions were sufficient and template made it easy to make the correct size opening.

I really like it except there is no back flap to prevent people from opening the front flap and looking inside the house. I was confused when the description said 'back plate'. I guess that refers to the frame piece. I'm going to return it and get one that has a back flap.
