If broken part has no hole, carefully center punch.
Drill hole 1/2 size of broken part.

I haven't had much success with EZ outs before, but this set actually did work to get out the bolt I sheared off while "fixing" my bike. I think the left-handed drill bits are a bit of a gimmick, but the set is still a good value (strictly speaking, using a right-handed drill bit could theoretically tighten the bolt more while drilling the hole, but I can't imagine this making much of a difference in most cases).

one can never have too many tools such as one can always run into a situation where you are in need of a specific tool.When you work enough mechanical situations, you eventually strip a screw. And here is where this comes into play.Now be mindful that not all tools are perfect. Some tools were better in different practices. So what might be good here wont be there and vice versa.That is the case here.I have not had a reason to use them YET but in my past experiences, I have had need for one.Love the instructions but have yet to learn what the "A" means in one of the diagrams LOL

The drill bits included with this set are worthless. I could not drill into the broken bolt - didn't even make a dimple in it. I used my cobalt drill bit set instead which had no problem drilling into the broken bolt. The extractors worked fine to remove the broken bolt once I drilled a hole with my own drill bit set. Tried another drill bit on a piece of metal (steel) and same issue - couldn't even dimple the metal. Drill bits in this set are worthless.
