My hubby has a wood-working hobby shop. His current projects are refinishing/refurbishing wood-metal hand tools. He ordered these as ornamental additions to leather stripping down the custom-made wooden handle for a bearded hatchet. He bought the leather strips from Amazon, too. Braiding the strips and tacking them dowm at the overlaying makes an interesting design. He only needed seven or eight. The rest will be put in future stock for another project, as will the balance of leather stripping.They set it off to perfection!

I bought these mini round head nails because the smooth shank furniture tacks would not secure the leather handles I made for my new cutting board. These mini nails have rings and a shank that's a tad larger diameter and a littler longer (see pics). The heads are a little smaller than furniture tacks but that works for me. Nails Very sturdy and now the handles won't come out. Really pleased with quality. I am going to try them on a leather purse I am making to secure the leather to the wood side panels. Will submit pics when finished. I recommend these nails.

I found this a bit easy to bend, even with predrilling the holes to help prevent it.

Fortunately they weren't too expensive because they are very weak and could not be used for what they claim to be able to use them for.
