1- Remove the heating pad from the plastic bag and handle it responsibly.
2- Place the heating pad in an environment away from sufficient water and avoid long periods of direct sunlight.
3- For best results and to avoid cold surfaces, place the heating pad in an insulated place.
4- Place propagation trays or other plant containers directly on the heating pad. Cover your plant trays with a moist dome to help seeds germinate faster.

I live in a very cold area and we set the thermostat lower at night. My orchids were not staying warm enough at night due to this. We put these underneath our orchids and they are doing much better and even blooming.

I put my seedling trays in the basement this year and used these heat pads. The seedlings germinated in 10 days instead of 13 that the packages stated. I also had a good germination rate.

I have been a seed starter gardener for 4 years now, and this change the game for me. I didn't know that the seed warmer would germinate the plants so much faster. I'll never grow without it again. These things work good for what I got them for and are a great deal. All my seeds germinated vs. the ones I didn’t use this for. The size is shorter than my seedling holder so that kinda sucks but I could’ve measured them to check. 🤷ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸ You just plug them in to use them, super simple. Seem durable enough, but haven’t used them enough to say. My only complaint is that they get super hot. Like I was concerned that it was going to start a fire on my hardwood floor. Idk if i’m doing something wrong or what, but I’ll just use them on cement for now I guess!

I am using this to root (get slips) sweet potatoes. It is warm but not so warm that I have to worry about the furniture. It's also a decent size, I can put a couple of pots on it.

I’ve been wanting to grow ginger for the longest time. This heated mate worked perfectly. It was still pretty chilly outside when I started this ginger root. Upon my research on growing it, it was suggested to use a heated mate and cover. I didn’t have a cover so I just used plastic wrap. I will be using again to plant my vegetable seeds.

Don't expect much from the heating pad. Very cheap. But the seedling trays work great
